Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Dems planning self-immolation?

Redstate:



The country is not in danger of ObamaCare passing via reconciliation.


The country is, however, in danger from politically desperate and irrational leaders who are intent on the political equivalent of self-immolation.

I think the country will be much safer if the Dem leadership self-immolates over the Demcare proposals. The same leadership supports a raft of bad ideas and I'm happy to see them lose power, whatever the issue.

Shhh ...I'm with you, Geoff. I'm just praying that the Democrat leadership doesn't figure out how self-destructive they are being before the November elections. So far, with their quite insane focus on Rahm-ing through the Obamacare bill via "reconciliation" they seem right on track for the big train-wreck.

It is only with the greatest reluctance that I no longer visit Redstate. Erick Erickson has gone Charles Johnson on us, and I will no longer visit the site as a matter of principle.
