We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
We think "global warming" is a political movement with quasi-religious overtones. Video via Moonbattery, who comments: "Is the global warming hoax a totalitarian plot? In a word: yes."
chickadee ... Al was pouting because he lost the presidential election, so he went down in his basement and dug out his college science term papers and cobbled up this theory.
Unfortunately, Al is no scientist. And manmade global warming is the result. He clings to it because he's deeply invested, both emotionally and monetarily, in it. I don't think he will ever willingly give it up. What will have to happen, if we are going to be saved from further wreckage of the economy, is that the American people will have to walk away from it, walk away from Al and his crazy theories, and clear their heads.

As we quickly go into the next Ice Age, it seems to me that we need to bring Al Gore and the other Warmists to justice for deceiving us and creating a situation where we have not prepared for the severe cooling we are now facing. The fact that millions and millions of people are now going to live miserable lives without sufficient food, water and shelter, and eventually slowly freeze to death as a result of preventable inaction, surely must mean we hold those who committed climate fraud fully accountable.
