Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

43 degrees? How about 36 degrees here in the "West End" of Monroe County, PA this morning. A few miles north of Brodheadsville, PA to be specific. The "West End" is what this area is known as. Probably should have put a shot of Jameson in the coffee to take the chill off.

Interesting note! In thinking about this over the weekend, it really appears that Obama built his entire foreign policy upon the same philosophical platform that a parent uses to handle a two-year old temper tantrum. Unfortunately, there is some questions as to whether Obama or Kim Jong Il is the adult in the US relationship with DPRK. Good observation. As to who is the two-year-old: Both. Maybe they'll go for a food fight, little short-lived tantrums, and then Kim can nuke South Korea to show he's the baddest.
