We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
This ad is not from the McCain campaign (h/t, Gateway, who thinks it needs to be sent around.) I pretty much agree with it. Yes, it is Christian - and so am I:
I like the ad, but it would be more effective if the type were somewhat bigger. In some frames it's really hard to read, and in most of them it's not easy, and it distracts from the general impact. If you're peering at the type, you're not seeing the picture beneath.
I suspect it was designed by a young person whose vision is really acute. But ads like this are supposed to be easy to read, for people with perfect vision and hearing, and those with senses less than perfect. It should go directly from the senses to the brain with no interference.
Other than that, I like the message and agree with it.
This is a nice spot. It resembles a Catholic ad I saw about two weeks ago. I feel like the Christian base is a little fatigued by the Bush years. We have had to carry the water for an administration that did not care to defend it's own positions. Principled stands with lazy implementation will fatigue any flock. Palin is an energizer bunny but I am actually feeling revival is the real answer. Please God, show your mercy to America.
