Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Dems determined to keep gas high

Not just to pander to the Greenies as Powerline says, but also simply to keep voters cranky and disgruntled, and willing to roll the dice on "change."

They don't want to drill, because the small extra supply won't bring down prices, but they do want to tap the strategic reserve, because the small extra supply will bring down prices.

I'm tellin' ya, I've been around awhile, I'm a front boomer & have seen plenty, but this congress is about the stupidest goddam thing i believe i've ever had the misery to look at.

And they seem to be getting by with it...when will the Repubs start firing with real bullets? The Dems are showing them the biggest broad side you could hope for as a target.
