Classic misdirection. Anyone who says, "See? According to this article, there's no global warming!" has also just conceded that global warming exists, it's man-made, and we'd better do something about it NOW before it's too late.

This is the same tactic they pulled last month. Remember this?



All kinds of otherwise-smart bloggers misread that one for good news. It was the same sleight-of-hand, though. Yep, it's not warming anymore -- because of these unnatural El Nino forces. Like the 10-year respite, as soon as things get back to normal, look out!

Whad'ya mean, "photoshopped"??

Someone needs to write an article and call it "The Age of Reverse Trends" or something.

There was a point back in the early 90's when the scaremongers were saying so many bad things about the food we ate that I said on my "blog" (aka BBS) that we needed a list of the foods that actually hadn't been placed on somebody's Bad List yet, just so we'd have something handy to check off as the last few were taken away.

During the congressional incandescent light bulb law passed a while back, I listed out a number of liberties that had been taken away from us in recent years by the food nannies, the PC Police and the right-wing Moral Police and said we needed a list of the few remaing liberties we had, just so we'd have something to check off as the last few were taken away.

And now we have this:

"Bet you didn't know that global warming causes AIDS. Silly you."

Likewise, it's come to the point where we don't need lists of the things global warming causes -- we need a list of the few remaining things it doesn't cause.

Just to make it easy for us, as we check off the last few items.

I sense a pattern here.
