Change is acceptable in American coin but someone here, in Albuquerque ( it is a multi-cultural city, after all) slipped me Somalian 10 shilling coin which I haven't been able to pass as a nickle or a quarter.

New Mexican cashiers are sharp.

Stamped on the shilling is XXI CENTURY 1999 FOOD SECURITY and a camel, like the one on a pack of Camels, with FAO over it.

So, Somalians know it's the twenty-first century. anyway.
