Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

A free advt. for Ashton

A friend laid a box of the Ashton coronas on me last week to try, and I burned a few today while bumbling around. Very mild but a tasty flavor.

They are Dominican with a Connecticut shade wrapper. Funny how often those CT-grown wrappers return, eventually, back to New England.

Not expensive for the quality. An excellent everyday smoke.

I don’t know cigars all too well, but I like Dunhill. If memory serves I’ve enjoyed an Ashton in the past, too. I like mellow cigars.

A friend and I get together to have a smoke and a drink every once in a while. I’ll call him this week to get together over the weekend and have a smoke. Dunhill’s though, with a nice Port wine. I dip the end in the wine, as it flavors the smoke nicely.

In the same vein, I’d like to try a Cohiba, but not the Dominican variety. If I smoke a Cohiba I’ll buy a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue for the occasion. Some day…

Dominican cigars are as good as Cubans these days, if not better. The Cubans just have the mystique. I doubt anyone can tell the difference these days. Try a few Dom. Cohibas from JR cigars online.
