With her venom, sarcasm, and recklessness,�Ann Coulter is a lousy poster-child for Conservatism, but she can be entertaining even though she will never persuade anybody:

President George W. Bush is evidently the first mentally retarded person to get a Harvard M.B.A., graduate from the U.S. Air Force Flight School, be elected governor of Texas, and then be elected president of the United States twice. I guess this is what they call "mainstreaming." Admittedly, it took Bush two weeks to learn to prounounce "Shiite," but he had higher grades at Yale than John Kerry. Then again, who didn't?

I don't think she takes her clothes off for posting on Conservative sites, BD.

Or any other kind, for that matter.

The documentary on her, "Is It True What They Say About Ann?", is quite interesting. I suppose most libs view her as some kind of mean old witch, but she's actually a fun, lighthearted gal who truly enjoys life. There's a big difference between Ann as a person, and Ann as a liberal-baiting columnist.

Ann Coulter is a babe. Way too much woman for most men to handle. Why the very thought of performance anxiety would scare most men to death.

I love Coulter. I resent you saying nasty things about her. She is really really really smart. She is perceptive, intelligent and out there. When she talks about the cult of liberalism with their worship of abortion -- this is more succinct than 99% of conservative columnists. Only conservative who comes close to her wit is Taranto of the WSJ.

It is precisely "her venom, sarcasm, and recklessness" that make Ann a delight to read most of the time. There are days when she, like most of us, seems to search around for that lost screw that fell out when she arose from her bed, but mainly Ann targets those pompous asses who deserve her "venom, sarcasm, and recklessness" in this world lest they find even more and worse in the next.

I resent you calling Coulter a conservative. This woman isn't anywhere near conservative, she's Buchanan's harpie hand maiden. She's an outre caricature pundit making a buck. That skinny foul blonde is in no way representative of outside the beltway female conservatives. Coulter can be bitingly funny and incredibly smart, but her politics are as over the top as her rhetoric. I enjoy her as entertainment, nothing more.

She doesn't represent me, my guns, or my dogs.

For all her wit and right-onisms, her snide countenance diminishes her impact. Entertainment? Fine if you enjoy cringing.

Re: Bush's intelligence. His SAT's and scores on the officer candidacy exam translate to an estimated IQ of 126 +/_ 5. That's about 95th percentile.

One can reasonably prefer other types of intelligence, but for this traditional measure, he does pretty well.

Ann Coulter's content is second to none. The only problem with her approach is that it gives liberals a dodge to avoid talking about what she actually says, because they can whine about how "mean" she is. Of course nobody can answer her on the facts, so it's unfortunate they're given this easy out. But if she wasn't so attention-grabbing they'd just ignore her the way they do other conservatives. So on the balance her attitude -- which I find refreshingly funny -- is a net plus in getting her message out there.

I sort of go back on forth concerning Ann Coulter. In one respect I think she is extremely vulgar and mean-spirited. However, on the other hand I appreciate her straightforwardness regarding liberals. In the end I think the latter wins out. The truth is we need more people like her on our side. No matter how one feels about her methods, her message does get attention. The media certainly cannot ignore her.

I like this one too, though it isn' facetious;

- FREEDOM of speech isn't working out so well for liberals now that they aren't the only ones with a microphone. It's not so much fun when the rabbit's got the gun.

Coulter on the right, Moore on the left, Chomsky on the right/left (depending on how anarcho-libertarian or socialistic he�s feeling that day), Imus on the WTF?... If ya gots big balls and a memorable hairdo in this country you too can make an excellent living!
