Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

A constructive critique of Maggie's Farm

I don't know why you guys waste your time with that moronic blog. It's just part of a big echo chamber of dangerously extreme right wing drivel, and you all say whatever Rove tells you to say to support that so-called President who is the biggest s-head the US has ever produced. That guy and the dickhead should be impeached and jailed, and your blog should be shut down too. 

My reply:

All totally accurate, although Karl hasn't called me lately. But at least we have some good recipes occasionally, which Karl's wife is kind enough to send us.

I don't know but it looks like someone may have some anger management issues ...hmmm... perhaps he should read Mrs. Huffington and then he can rest easy or watch Bill Maher on HBO since it takes all kinds to make this great melting pot called the blogosphere. I think the farm is mighty fine even if they post way too many of Theos's girls but I will send some eye candy for the gals soon.

I am one of the few folks that have managed to keep partisans unbalanced... one may not like my opinions, but my analysis is always straightforward. And there are some conclusions that I don't like, but I write them anyway... if I can't be honest with myself, then I can expect no better of any other.

Yes. Yes! Finally someone who makes sense writing to this blog! Oh thank god for the red among us! We should remove the authors of Maggie's from the public eye because they offend us. Water boarding is too good for these non-haters of G. W Hitler McHaliburton Bush and Co. (Those torturing American bastards.) We should give them to our fellow-travelers in AQ for immediate and just beheading!

P.S. Thanks Maggie's for the lovely eggnog recipe. I'll be serving it to my World Workers Unite Winter Solstice Rally for a New America.

NJ, your friend is right about the ''dangerous'' part --lots of things are dangerous to whatever it is the lefties are up to. They're always beset by "dangers" that they have to "do something about".

Of course those "dangers' are always domestic political opponents (aka 'conservatives'). Terrorists and other hostile foreign interests are never dangerous--they're just misunderstood.
