We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Desperation

Hillary's campaign begins to rough up Obama re drugs. This is desperate, and will backfire. But they are getting desperate.

Also, Surber: A tortoise flipped on her back.

The problem Mrs. Clinton faces is that the more people see of her, the less they like or trust her.

Maybe the Dem primary voters are tiring of The Clinton Show? I know I am. I am a Fred-Rudy guy, but I know Obama would talk to me, and I'd love to have him as a next-door neighbor. Hillary would see me as an enemy. Regardless of her politics, she seems like an angry lady with little sunshine in her heart.

Just like Huckabee strikes me as a light-weight twit - or should I say "goober."

If politics is going to go back to slime, whatever happened to the Hillary is a Lesbian story, anyway? How did that interesting juicy story disappear so fast? I found it titillating.

i agree --she bad news, bad news all the way.

Obama would probably keep me p'o'd, but he is likeable and seems a decent sort.

HRC is full of hate. And she brings her psycho-messianic hub back into a weird sort of co-president 'up-the-22nd-amendment' situation that is guaranteed to generate world misery.

I agree but putting that picture of HC with the statement she is an angry lady is the kind of thing the MSM does and not befitting of the news junkie.

Obama is an empty suit. Seems like a nice fellow but he'd be a disaster. 'The Audacity of Hope'...please. He'd lose 45 states after looking like a fool debating McCain, Thompson or Guilianni. After the Clinton's finish with him any Republican skeletons will appear trifle at best. Hillary takes the party down in flames in a year they should win.

Hillary is truly evil. A doormat for a sexual predator husband while claiming feminism, a dictator in a dress, and a nasty, hateful woman. Probably a les without the courage to admit it. Don't tell, just lie.

Now, I would like to discuss her worst features. She is a lying socialist.

And, I disagree, that picture of her is just fine.

Oh dear-- I almost forgot. Do you know how many "leadership roles" in academia are currently occupied by women such as Hillary? Heres one that skidded to the top; couldn't do the job;couldn't handle the heat, and jumped!

Hillary Clinton. The photographs. The quotes. Her college years. The generation of which she's a product. Her roots in the very extreme left. Her legal career. Her business dealings. Her habit of employing the 'royal we' in her rhetoric. Her marriage. I think she's nuts.

Nuts? No, only a Communist.

Communists (esp in the USA) only seem nuts because they have this structural problem wherein they can make no progress without 'acting out' (AKA 'advancing the goals') BUT can never do so openly, as the people would reject them if the people knew what the hell they were up to.

So, they have to 'mask' --to live a Potemkin Village schizoid sort of life, the anxiety of which fills them with ever more anger, hatred, contempt, loathing, and dread.

Political cultists are usually pretty nutty, at least that's my experience. Chavez, Mugabe, Castro, Lenin, Mao...marginally sane, at best. The Wall is gone. The Soviet model is no more. Chavez,Mugabe,Castro, the progressive left are hanging on a dream of utopian coercion. If that's not insane, words have no meaning.

...what i meant was, those leaders were never actually after utopia--they were after total power, which they achieved.

The utopia bit is just the cover. Yes, by that cover story, they've failed totally. But that's not what they were after--otherwise they'd have been free-market capitalist democrats from the beginning.
