It's the Queeg factor, stupid.

The story of Navy Lieutenant Commander Philip Francis Queeg is one of literature and film's more compelling. Queeg was at the center of author Herman Wouk's Pulitzer Prize winning novel The Caine Mutiny. Played by the legendary Humphrey Bogart in the Oscar-nominated 1954 film, the tale of the unstable captain of the old minesweeper USS Caine and his tumultuous command of the ship and its World War II-weary crew is today a classic.

And indeed, the two recent biographies of Hillary Clinton, A Woman in Charge by Watergate icon Carl Bernstein, and Her Way by New York Times investigative journalists and Pulitzer Prize winners Jeff Gerth and Don Van Natta are shot through with clues that demonstrate Hillary's problem with the Queeg factor. Both books repeatedly show that when Hillary Clinton possesses even close proximity to executive power, she, like Queeg the Navy ship Captain, is unable to resist abusing her authority, then lying, stonewalling or covering-up the abuse in question, blaming others if the mood suits.

VDH's masterful essay on Why Study War is lost because 99% of the population that will not read it.

In every conversation I have had with a "peacenik" about war, I listen intently (sarcasm) to their nauseating palaver about how war is bad etc etc etc.
I then ask them to go to the library and choose any world history book they choose, indicriminately open it and the go fifty pages forward or backward and not find a reference to war. Then I ask them to start telling me how horrible it was we fought the Nazi and Japanese, etc etc etc...perhaps it's my lack of skill in presentation or debate but they are never moved.....war to more and more people has no purpose, and I always wonder how they get to that point ....and my brain always tells me it's because we ask nothing of our fat society except tax dollars to defend them with.

I'd love to embed some of the , oh hell, what difference does it make? Truth is we've got about 100 million people in this country that are just dead weight, useless baggage, and if they blew away tomorrow I wouldn't miss them in the least. I think I realized this when MacDonalds had to put pictures of their food on the cash registers so the workers could do their jobs correctly......this after graduating from high school......yeah like they're gonna study war.

Today he promised to have Russia become the number 1 commercail airline builder in the world. Last weeks he claimed the North Pole and had his Bear bombers aggressively probing our defenses. A week or so before that he announced that a major Soviet presence would be established in the Med. Syrian is building a port right now to house Soviet ships. Today he "warned" the Czech's to watch out.

Anyone think he'll give up his power in a fair election. He's assassinating opposition leaders and consolidating power...I think we have a new Stalin on our hands ...peace comrades.
