Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Glasgow Attack

Update here. It's odd the way the Brits now term middle-easterners "asians."  They are not what we consider asians. It's gratifying to see that the crowd tackled and captured the bad asian.

I've just looked through my 1935 edition( first year of publication for the general public) of T.E. Lawrences, "Seven Pillars of Wisdom"

Even before Lowell Thomas and his cameraman Harry Chase made Lawrence a household name he was an acknowledged ME expert.

T.E. Lawrence does not use the term "asians". He uses Arabs.

This is simply another example of Englandstan kowtowing to the Islamists within, hoping as Churchill said that the crocodile will eat them last.

Any reason why you used an asian term, kowtow, to define what the Brits are doing? Nice subtlety.

In this case I believe asian means from India or Pakistan. India has the second largest population of Muslims, trailing only Indonesia.

Hmmm... Has anyone noticed that the UK-based "news service" Reuters has dropped the quote marks from around "terrorist"? I guess it's different in your own country... (even if it's all Blair's and Bush's fault).
