Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Rick Moran

Rick, the esteemed, amiable, and often-provocative proprietor of the Right Wing Nut House, is indeed nutty enough to try to make a living blogging.

Who's gonna throw that minstrel boy a coin? We'd hate to lose him because he is one of those guys who has the time to dig into things rather than going off half-cocked, as we sometimes (some would say often) do here.

I wish Rick all the best. Looking at the blogshere in 2007 shows a great diversity and many that are, s Rick's is struggling against Adam Smith's Invidisible Hand.

We are a giving nation but every new industry has a surplus of competition. The automobile industry in this country once had over 200 car makers, but the marketplace made the adjustments and only a few survived.

One thing we do not lack for at this time are blogsites or words to fill them.
