Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

No wonder he went into politics

Al Gore flunked out of Vanderbilt Divinity School, then dropped out of Vanderbilt Law School.

I didn't know those facts.

He ain't qualified to either preach to, or lecture at me. By the way, how did he do in Physics 101?

Depends on whose list you use, but as near as I can tell he has no abiding interest in anything applying to him in a restrictive fashion.

Rules and such are for other people.

I'll never forget the "iced tea defense". Algore was innocent of any Chinese fund-raising guilt because at the crucial meeting where the scheme was discussed, there was a lot of iced tea served, and he must've missed the illegal parts due to being out of the room on "frequent rest room breaks" due to excessive iced tea intake. Janet Reno, of course, accepted this --which must've done wonders for the morale of the FBI agents who discovered the scam.

The Riadys of course no doubt love Algore --as does the Chinese nuclear sub forces.

Sounds like Stalin. He had problems in school as well and turned into an elitist's elitist.
