We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Watch this 1000 hp Bugatti production car reach 250 mph. The driver is certainly enjoying the ride, and evidences no guilt at all about driving such an environmentally fun evil car.
o/t but, I have been driving a Prius this week. It is a pretty cool car. I especially like the fob that takes the place of the key. The car recognizes the fob in my pocket and allows me to unlock it with a push button and the starter is a push button too. No fumbling around for the keys, ever. The inside is pretty high tech with a push button video screen for radio, and heat, etc. All the controls are also duplicated on the steering wheel so there is no reaching. It also has a camera that shows what is behind the car when it is reverse. The car is silent when it is in park so I double check that it is really turned off before I get out. It is possible to forget to hit the power button and leave it running.
