We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Y'all DO know that "faggot" the name of an English culinary item, don't you?

What I'm worried about is this--am I taking the "Aces" article way too seriously? (Seems a little late for April Fools Day.)

But I didn't see anything that gave lie to the apparent dead seriousness of it all on that page.

And if they (Aces) are serious, I am worried about other stuff I though was worth passing on to others.

I am worried about my credibiity.

The origin of 'faggot' is the English word 'fagot'. A fagot is/was a bundle of sticks tied together.

Nice to note how our language continues to grow.
