Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Dangerous naivete

Pelosi and Lantos want to visit Iran, and want to give Iran nuclear material:

"So if the Iranian president says that he is developing (nuclear material) for peaceful purposes, we are assisting him in that process,'' said Lantos, who anticipated the legislation could pass as early as May.

Yes, Dr. Freud, there is a death wish. It leaves me speechless, so I will let John Bolton speak for me, via LGF.

Maybe the Iranians will take Pelosi and Lantos hostage. Then President Bush can "negotiate" for their release - a process which hopefully would take years.

The art of kissing despotic derrieres was pioneered by such illustrious American bumbling traitors as former President Jimmy Carter and ever porcine shake-down artist, the Rev. (sic) Jesse Jackson. So it's no wonder that Hillary's competition for Matron of American, Speaker Pelosi wants to journey to Tehran to make an even bigger ass of herself than she already has done in Damascus. I assume that Lantos is there to hold her purse?

These are perilous times and we are cursed with dangerous idiots in both parties, but certainly almost swelling the ranks of so-called Democratic Party leadership.

“Lantos said that for more than a decade, he has been trying to obtain a visa to visit Tehran with the help of former U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan -- and to date neither he nor any other member of Congress has been successful.”

“Lantos noted that ‘with the speaker's support,’' he has co-sponsored legislation in the House that calls for making available to all countries -- including Iran -- nuclear fuel for peaceful purposes under international oversight by establishing a ‘nuclear fuel bank."

Kucinich’s Department of Peace is starting to look not so far-fetched, anymore. Lantos will be made Secretary of Submission in the next Dem Cabinet and Pelosi’s We Are the World Congress will move to Turtle Bay to better oversee the dismantling of US foreign policy.
