Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Pray. Pray that my church, my religious tradition wil be able to rise from this horrible destruction that it is confronting today. As for me, I will be in the garden with a coffee waiting for the sun rise, and the field birds that come with it.

Dearest apple pie, my mom used to say that man proposes but God disposes.

Your Church as all faithful Christianity is being tested and pruned. But we all rise with Him Who also suffered such a "horrible destruction" at the hands of His Church then. When that happens, let us remember to forgive those who abused their faith and us in the process.
