As Rudy said, historically nobody emigrated to America for freebies. Freedom means a lot to people. I always am reminded that no-one emigrated to the Soviet Union or Cuba for their wonderful free stuff. Space for the human spirit to range free, take risks, and be free to fail, is what lively people want. The principle of freedom is what separates the Conservatives from the Left.
