Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

How long can he last? Ethanol is a scam. Maggie's readers already know this: it takes more energy to produce ethanol fuel than ethanol fuel contains. Soon we can cast off the obsolete, Puritanical taboo against bestiality. Yes, we can be modern if we want to be. Why Britain does not react to treason within. Censorship is always better anyway. It avoids all that messy controversy.
I've tried locating a Dule LaCrosse T shirt online..no can do ..very hot item..
NEWS: Gut Check Time...read about it here: http://www.villainouscompany.com/vcblog/ It's time to cull many of the anti Americans from the herd by any means. They have the freedom of speech but not the right to subvert the nation in doing so. So lets understand this. If we continue to allow the left to be as large a faction as it is we will not last another fifty years as a nation. Conservatives by definition are just that, conservative. Most are willing to carp and complain, few are willing to physically confront a rabid leftist and punch them in the nose. Well, you get the kind of country you are willing to defend, with blood if necessary. it's time for conservatives to get physically hostile, to invade leftest meetings and disrupt then as they do ours. We can't duck this confrontation and the laws are so distorted as to allow one to burn our flag, allow the Andre Sorrano's of the word "Piss Christ" It is time for conservative ACTIVE civil disobedience buy a clash with the left outside the range of the ballot box. In case you didn't notice this country is already in a revolution. Our borders violated. men sent to protect them are sent to jail. You can only kill the enemy if it's a calm day with mild temps...yep we too are where we were in 1855. 1855 was the year Kansas came into the union, and pro-slavery Missourians started coming over the state-line to vote in the Kansas elections--causing some considerable bad blood, soon to boil over.
Habu, I'd say, we still have a chance to fix things within the institutions--but the 2008 elections will be hyper-critical to that. If we turn the entire apparatus over to the hard left, then we seriously have to think about civil or otherwise disobedience.
Vox populi wants to know, what was wrong with the Constitution the way it was before Earl Warren's 'living-document' penumbra-emanating reinterpretation?
Join the Restoration, support Ron Paul (but please, not yet--let's get less energy-hostage first). OTOH, if we go "Fortress America" we will have to abandon many staunch allies worldwide.
Two things:
1. Did you folks happen to see the picture of Hillary and Obama in the audience? She was sitting behind him and up one row. From their demeanor, their body language(what is it called when you see what is not visible?) the looks on their faces, I can not help but think: "and, they said Nixon had a Napoleonic complex!" These people are terrifying! 2. With regard to ethanol--I am devastated by the damage that this poorly designed system--nobody yet is talking about the depletion of soil quality! Yes, and there is more than a little bad blood boiling up in this country.
A good deal of it for reasons that defy all logic. The Illegals are mad because we won't (so far, but it's coming)give them a status they do not deserve, nor have earned. They have a solidarity and a belief, a raison d'être, that the southwest BELONGS to them and they are marshalling those thoughts to actions in California and elsewhere in the SW. The Islams have the solidarity of the idiocy of Koranic ideology and are convincing themselves that their world and word is the only world and word to be followed. They are willing to blow themselves up to shake you up. These groups are not assimilating into what is , and was intended to be a Christian nation. With that being the case we have always given great de jure and de facto lattitude to other religions and points of view. The difference now is that these unassimilated groups have no intention of allowing the same, and they are becoming more openly hostile and aggressive toward white Christian society. "To be, or not to be: that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles" It is time to take up arms. And the peroration of that passage: "And thus the native hue of resolution Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought, And enterprises of great pith and moment With this regard their currents turn awry, And lose the name of action. - Soft you now" It is time for a two million man/woman march on Washington..let the voices of those who have grown soft gain a final measure of respect. The storm is gathering from every point on the compass, and we are not, as a citizenry, prepared to defend what Ben Frankin told us we must. Ben Franklin designed parts of the first American coin, the humple Penny. His two text suggestions were "Fugio" (loosely, 'my time is short') and, oddly, "Mind Your Own Business" (thought to have perhaps had then an alternate meaning, loosely, 'attend to that for which the results are your responsibility'). The former suggestion made the cut, the latter didn't.
I agree that '08 is pivotal, however it is not possible to put together a counter movement after (if they do) the Left takes over. They will immediately go after gun ownership. Then we are at the mercy of a totalitarian government with the facade of a democratic republic. that was not the intent of the second amendment.
The Bush presidencies sold out the Reagan revolution in the best patrician manner their historied peerage would allow. Bush Sr. was the first president to mention a "One World Order" and "W" has done nothing to slow that train down. Diluting my citizenship is not their right. To bestow citizenship on people whose first act here is to break the law upon arriving is a opprobrium our "leaders" cannot shed. On May 12th 1962 General of the Army Douglas MacAthur address for the last time the Corps of Cadets at West Point. In part his said: "Duty," "Honor," "Country" - those three hallowed words reverently dictate what you want to be, what you can be, what you will be. They are your rallying point to build courage when courage seems to fail, to regain faith when there seems to be little cause for faith, to create hope when hope becomes forlorn. Unhappily, I possess neither that eloquence of diction, that poetry of imagination, nor that brilliance of metaphor to tell you all that they mean." Although this was for the Corps it is also for a great free people. We would do well to hold our government to those words and not allow the nefarious deeds they now perpetrate. MacAthurs Speech: http://www.nationalcenter.org/MacArthurFarewell.html apple pie, re 'terrifying', i agree. DC attracts terrifying people. any power locus does. luckily, the exigencies of representation force the madness into boundaries for the most part. but the madness is there. 'citizen representatives" are in grievous short supply; mad narcissists are fulsome in their numbers.
I'm only with you part way re the Bushes. maybe it's because they're nieghbors, and everybody around here looks/sounds like GWB. I hate to think I'm that easily gulled, but may well be.
However, the key to my petit-challenge of your thesis is in the phrase "One World Order", which was in fact "New World Order" and was used specifically in re the 'new world order' following the old bi-polar USA/USSR system. The meaning had to do with a new world not organized around that military/political/geographical/ideological confict, but rather toward a lifting of the world's needy & oppressed--especially third-world nations with a bare minimum of 'cheap-energy' time left in which to jump-start self-sustaining economies. But, then came Bill. Anyway, the Yale, DC, Skull & Bones thing is easily distracting, I'll admit--until you realize that every soul has a history that could also be characterized as evidence of bad intent. And, too, a president has to represent all the people--meaning in this day and age, the tv-zombied. Apple Pie:
it's also the absolutely enormous sums of money necessary to get elected. We have now moved into a new paradigm of the electoral process, where we are two years away and the election jockeying and announcements for the job ahave already been made. In spite of law against it there will be Saudi money, Chinese money, drug lord money etc in this '08 election. Hell we already have entire caucases in the House of reps that represent third world countries more than they do their own people. And who are you beholding to when your money comes from oversees or from a series of conduits that are sourced by the likes of a George Soros? What i mean to say is, i agree whole-heartedly that we must resist equally the Mob and the King. Both extremes are made magnetic by the interlocking lines of all forms of communication. But, the choice may well be between being led by some form of natural elite, versus being led by anarchy. Even the cave men in the Geico commercials need a chief somewhere, or else Geico will make them act in the commercials for free, on pain of death.
well, Geico might not do that, depending on the benevolence of its own chief. But--depending on benevolence makes us all Blanche DuBois.
Re the ethanol, the retired Sun Micro founder and Google seedman, Vinod Khosla, has become a believer, and Bill Gates is (i think) backing Pacific Ethanol. It's when I see these mondo-brains put up big stakes that I start wondering, what goes here? Anyway, Khosla is quite a salesman, on the fundamentals--and he's building plants. Search the name, read the blurbs--
BL, I know I make a fool out of myself all the time on this here internet. So my kudos to you may be somewhat diluted by same. But you are one smart, sensible, sane and splendid fellow.
Habu, you make just enough sense too scare me. There is a part of me that agrees with all you say. Another part wonders if we have we fallen so far that I need consider the other part. I wrestle with those damn 'parts' everyday. The 'right' way seems so obvious, yet 49 per cent or better see it another way. Reasons a many for that. I just can't figure, how do we go forward when we can't bring back the past? With regard to groups by ethnicity: I have seen twenty Federal Student loans for African/Ameicans be processed in such a way as to guarantee that the loans would fall through the system cracks--the students would never be held accountable for these loans. It does not take to complicated a statistical formulation to understand that the people who would be paying for those loans are White. Just tell me please why no one wants to pursue this matter? Not the lesbian US attorney (Clinton appointee) nor her boss the Republican.
Luther, I'm like you--I don't know where to start. Voting, supporting a candidate, working for a campaign, is about all a body can do. Next is to jump the Rubicon, like the Bonus Marchers did. Thanks for kind words, the same back atcha!
Apple, maybe those kids will graduate, and insist on paying back the loans? I mean, it's not a collusion/conspiracy case, is it? Always the great leveler BL. Yes, look at the 'Marchers', and who put them down, even Patton played a role. No Rubicon's here, I guess we just play with the card's we're dealt. Not get too far ahead with our ideals. Eyes on the ground looking for the tripwire, eyes ahead looking for the ambush, eyes above looking for the sniper. Slow and steady is the order of march. Given we have time for that. Excuse my BS, its all I got.
"Given we have time for that" --damn good caveat. But you're right, I think--gotta stay in the fight, and won't if we walk into a disaster.
Well put, BTW--I could hear the jungle birds in the canopy. But my jungle times were in the rain forest, on the rigs--I never had them NVAs dogging my steps trying to kill me. So you be the route man-- :-\ Dear Buddy: Sorry, yes it is both of those and more. You see they were not kids--they were middle aged. What is more important is the course of study. They entered the program at the same time--it was often referred to as the "Colored cohort". They began in September. Of the twenty 4 entered with knowingly fraudulent AA degrees from a internet diploma mills. Of the other 16 a few had had more than one year of course work in a community college, and some had only a couple of freshman level courses. Like I said before--the program began in September. The 20 students met one weekend a month (full day Saturday, half day Sunay). They did this for 9 months (9 full days, 9 half days of study). The following June they were assigned as teaching interns to classrooms (K-12) in various summer schools classes around town. They interned as teacher's aids for 6 weeks of summer school classes. AT THE END of the summer they were each rewarded with the following degrees:
B.A degree M.Ed degree K-12 teaching certificate The student loans were approximately $45,000. The moral philosphy behind this is that AFrican/American children need to see African/American role models in the classroom. The person co-ordinating the "colored cohort" , who profitted the most financially is a daughter of a very wealthy family--probably related to the US attorney who refused to investigate. The woman (lesbian) who ordered the financial aids office to process the loans in a specific way has received her Ph.D studying ways to finance minority education--she surely found one! Nobody will take her on, because she is a lesbian. Nobody will challenge the school because it is primarily owned and operated by another tribe. If you want to understand the corruption in our academic system you begin with the small, private, liberal arts colleges. Most of whom have been at death's door for years. But gosh they are a wonderful way to launder money for the right folks. Sorry to be the bearer of this information. But, I believe cleaning up the corruption in academia is a good place to start. Well you want to help people get ahead, but sheesh--sounds like a mob scam, doesn't it. Wonder how the students will fare, under the tutelage of the new teachers--reckon the PhD facilitator will follow up--check out her own judgement, so to speak?
Nope she has been recognized and awarded for her efforts to help make education available to minorities. My research, and my instinct tells me there is a much larger system of fraud going on.
The Bonus Marchers, though their demands were justified given the circumstances of the time were treated as so much offal to be shovelled away. Their biggest mistake is that they did not go armed to the Capitol. It is our right to keep and bear arms, and our moral duty to defend ourselves when attacked
Google Smedley Butler, a legendary U.S. Marine Corps General, and one of a very few men to win TWO Medals of Honor. He was leading the bonus marches and later opined that "war is a racket" Google Him. We do not have the luxury of time to alert the mindset of our imperious class. Islam has been at war with us for thirty years now. Racial preferences have long since levlled the playing field with blacks making what white make in similar positions. That aspect of our culture has now gone over to a de facto "reparations" dynamic. That we race norm tests and have quotas is a disgrace adn one that yesterdays post by Fuyuyama on Identity and Migration illuminated in part when discussing the composition of this nations phiosophical roots. It is altogther right to watch for the trip wires and overhead snipers but the path must lead to the Rubicon, and thr Rubicon forded. Each of you know that we cannot recover the past, but to fail to take actions that we see are robbing our future is something future generations we hate us for and we will suffer for in our lifetimes. The storm has gathered and we dither. It is the 22nd Maine on Little Round Top holding the left flank of the Union Army. Out of ammunition (in our case having a venal and corrupt Congress) and knowing the consequences of allowing the South to flank the Union Army, they fixed bayonets and charged. They did not dither. Fix bayonets! And allow me this question. How did this nation develop a citizenry that is basically 50/50 split along the lines of left and right? The left representing a Marxist cant of "From each according to his abilities to each according to his needs". While the right is represented by what I would characterize as guided by the traditional "merit system", where hard work and the inherent mental and physical difference in man are applied.
The answer is as close as your local university where for the last fifty years the faculties of those universities, mostly all tenured and beyond removal characterize themselves as leftests and many as out and out Marxists. We send our sons and daughters there, out of high schools that do not even have history as a core study. Once at the universities and colleges the 90+% of leftest faculty begin to mold their world view, or which prism to use to filter the world through and propagandize our youth, who in their innocents know not even the questions to challenge the professors with.. It is a leftest prism they are given, no other thoughts are brooked. The remaining 50% of the citizenry are older, wiser , and have caught on to the governments proclivity to take their money and give it to someone else. We now work almost on half of the year to pay taxes, local ,state and federal. Much of our money is taxed two and three times. Our volunteer Armed Forces, equally malliable youths are spared the four years of indoctrination into Marxist thought and thus have a clarity of purpose in defending our nation. It is only when, as in Vietnam (and shaping up in Iraq) that Congress cuts and runs, leaving them to wonder why there sacrifices have been made. Once again Smedley Butler provides the answer. read his "War is a Racket" http://www.lexrex.com/enlightened/articles/warisaracket.htm Then I would turn you toward the words in Thomas Paine's "Common Sense", a document so important that Washington himself found it so uplifting that he ordered it to be read to all his troops on 25 December 1776, prior to commencing his crossing of the Delaware to attack Trenton,NJ and turn the war in our favor. It is a document worth reading today. http://www.ushistory.org/paine/commonsense/singlehtml.htm I am not trying to turn the clock back. That is a fools errand. But rather reconnect the citizenry to the meaning and foundations on which this nation was established. Freedom is hard to win and easily lost. We are at the precipice, endangerd by forces inside and outside our nation. |
