We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Another interesting point about Darraji's arrest is where it took place. The troops raided a mosque in Baghdad to get him, which may show that initial reluctance to enter the worship sites has faded. This might be the best indicator of how seriously the Americans and Iraqis take this mission. They're not out to win hearts and minds with this phase of the new strategy, but to find and destroy the enemy.

Dealing with difficult people. Yes, they abound in our culture, however at 6"2" and 245 lbs and 35 years a gym rat few challenge me with any vigor.
I am willing to debate with the leftests but I am also very aware that they would just as soon chipper shredder me as to debate me, particularly when I am making strong headway against their impuissant arguments.
The older I get the less I even debate them finding it has been by and large a waste of my time for the past 35-40 years. I'd really perfer just to slap the geek/geekette but decorum and the law prevent that so I just walk away.

The Dems have two years ,tops.
They have nothing to offer except an acceration of socialism and a disbanding of our defenses.


They'll squander the remainder of these two years with endless "inquiries into tne phtsics of Brownian movement.

Redford is so certain of his own righteousness, a righteousness that is based on a political analysis a mile wide and an ince deep, that he and everything he touches--including Sundance--is just so much political junk. But the certitude makes it dangerous.

The Army has come out with a new badge, worn ON the uniform. It is the Combat Briefing Badge (CBB). It is silver and has a laptop computer surrounded by a wreath of something...I'm not making this up. It ranks with the PowerPoint Ranger Tab..Honest here's the link..
