Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Fool me once...

That much-discussed NYT piece on marriage in the US: they cooked the books and made it up - even to the point of including 15 year olds. Why do we keep taking them at face value when we know darn well that they are a propaganda organ for the Left? Driscoll explains.

In Islamic and some other cultures, and in their immigrant communities here, fifteen year-olds are wife and mother material. The NYT is simply being non-ethnocentric and also realistic about the Progressive Third World America to come under diversity hawk "If we don't take race as part of our character, then we are kidding ourselves" Hillary.

The "we" was us at Maggie's, reporting on their article as if it were true and a meaningful change. We keep falling for it.
