Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Church? I really dont care that much, it's just that Worship Center sounds like Tire Center or Shopping Cneter etc.

Yes, worship center does sound like something you'd find in a strip mall or democrat headquarters.

Yup, "Worship Center".

Just like a Shopping Center or a Medical Center. Many churches have mutated to where they are a "provider" of spiritual goods and services.

Kinda puts the lie to the whole "worship" thing doesn't it?

Folks used to go to church to thank G-d for His goodness and exceeding mercy and to seek His wisdom for their lives.

Now it is just another place to *get*.
