Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Who is running the USA?

Well, the president doesn't "run" a country. However, a president in the American system is Chief Executive and Commander in Chief of the armed forces.


Anyway, the White House administrators are doing those jobs. As our pal Sippican has always said, a president is a figurehead. Yes, it's a bully pulpit too.

Barack Obama has been running the country since he installed his administrative team into Joe Biden's administration. This was truly Obama's fourth term to "fundamentally transform" America into his idea of a racialist socialist nation no more special than any other. Biden was Obama's hand puppet from the very first, and it was a very bad choice. He probably didn't see the dementia coming.

It sure isn’t any of the elected ‘representatives’. The ‘representatives’ don’t represent the People, they represent their highest campaign contributors.

The bureaucrats of the alphabet agencies run the show. The evidence points to them preferring an authoritarian state. Mao Zedong is their inspiration. They use thousands of laws and ten thousand regulations to curtail liberty. Lawfare is their main tool for compliance, for now. The only thing that has kept them in check is the millions of citizens with guns. Now the bureaucracy has declared gun owners a Public Health Crisis. Remember what they do with a health crisis?
