Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

To tedious. I never watch them or the State of the union etc. I get the condensed version the next morning. Also I hate the format. They should have each debater ask the question of their opponent and they should expand the time limits for more complete answers and they shouldn't allow the "moderator" to comment, complain or even speak. You know the CNN moderator will interrupt Trump and prop up Biden.

They gave up holding ‘debates’ shortly after the Kennedy-Nixon debate in 1960. It’s more a circus than a thoughtful assertion and rebuttal process, hardly a debate. I’ll probably be asleep.

CNN will do its best at debasing Trump. The script has already been written for tomorrows headlines. Truth will once again take a CNN beating. I ain't lowering myself to have my intelligence insulted.FJB and the mule he rides in on.

The Republicans and fellow travelers have lowered the bar so much for Biden by talking about his decline that it'll be chalked up as a Biden win so long as he's not blowing spit bubbles and making fart noises with his armpit. Case in point the SOTU speech...hey look Biden strung words together into coherent sentences - this is one of the best speeches ever.

The Democrats are already planning to bring a female out of the convention as their presidential candidate. Done and dusted--that's the way it's going to be. They will not run Biden--how that comes about is anybody's guess.
