Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Of course the government will protect you. You just have to be the right victim class. When is the last time you saw the pro Palestinian get into any sort of trouble. BLM? How about the Rainbow Pride group. Then there is the rather large group of actual criminals that run the US Government. They definitely protect their own.

I missed The Sopranos the first time around because I didn't think I wanted to watch a TV show about the Mafia, but years later when HBO ran a retrospective marathon, I binged on the entire series. It was surprisingly great story-telling, and largely because of Gandolfini. I don't think they can afford to make TV like that anymore.
