Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

'In the US, a quarter of all people have not married by age 40, a historic record.'

Men don't want to lose their home, automobile, kids, money and 401K when the woman dissolves the marriage for any reason whatsoever. Or no reason whatsoever. "not married by age 40"

There isn't enough information to know if this is no big deal or an indicator of something wrong. A big factor is probably simply that today most people don't have to get married to be successful and fulfilled in life. Maybe this is a good thing. My advice to my children and anyone is to marry when you fall in love and that love is reciprocated and endures. What could be better than to spend your life with someone who loves you and who you love? But if you have not fallen in love don't fall into marriage. Freud matters, but just like Marx it is not because of all the things he got right.

https://stuartschneiderman.blogspot.com/2024/04/do-we-need-freud.html the Belgian virologist Geert Vanden Bossche had quite a sobering message: “What I am predicting,” he said, “is a massive, massive tsunami” of illness and death among highly-vaccinated populations with dysregulated immune systems.

"Not Married by age 40" and "I'm 28 and Scheduled To Die"

These two articles are so closedly related that they might ought to be combined into one. RFK Jr. has said that all energy company CEO's should be in jail because what they sell and stand for causes climate change. Now, you have always known RFK Jr was a radical whacko but he has been rehabilitated by the MSM and talking heads. But never forget that no matter what he says now that he wants to be elected he literally and seriously wants to jail people who produce energy and products that consumers can use to produce energy. I cannot understand how anyone could be that stupid. I get how the young and the ignorant are easily manipulated but he is neither. We cannot survive without energy and more importantly they don't want to cut everyone's energy they only want to cut "the West's" energy consumption. Which would make us vulnerable and China and Russia would simply destroy us, ironically with very high energy weapons.

But don't forget, he seriously believes that the people producing gas and gasoline should go to jail for the crime of producing gas and gasoline. He is certifiably insane. And the MSM is whitewashing his insane commentary. https://www.libertystorch.info/2024/04/01/a-despotic-self-own-by-rfkjr/ My prediction is that the 'RFK Jr is a whacko' stories will get all of the best-quality air time and targeted editing, between now and November, because he represents a threat to the Biden staus-quo, and they can't afford to lose those votes. The closer we get to November, the crazier he's going to be presented as. You'll know it's true when they take him past the standard progressive issues (like climate change) and push him well into Crazy Land, to make Biden look like a Moderate.

That has already started with his ex-wife's/wife's divorce/suicide.

The difficulty with that tactic would be the fact that if you highlight Kennedy positions that are "radical" in the general, you drive away potential Rino votes from Kennedy who might vote Trump. But even more, you drive the left of the Dem. party away from Biden to Kennedy.

"St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones to Get Tough on VICTIMS – Wants to Hold Business Owners Responsible for Crimes Near Their Stores"

I think they ought to hold the local politicians responsible. And I mean criminally, not through an election. Like D.C., St. Louis functions as a criminal cult. Not sure why anyone would actually choose to do business there. It's a shithole.

Is the FBI now Brandon's STASI?

QUOTE: The FBI spends "every day, all day long" interrogating people over their Facebook posts. At least, that's what agents told Stillwater, Oklahoma, resident Rolla Abdeljawad when they showed up at her house to ask her about her social media activity. Three FBI agents came to Abdeljawad's house and said that they had been given "screenshots" of her posts by Facebook. Her lawyer Hassan Shibly posted a video of the incident online on Wednesday. https://reason.com/2024/03/29/fbi-agent-says-he-hassles-people-every-day-all-day-long-over-facebook-posts/ 'Equity-Based Algebra' Is as Bad as You Imagine It to Be

QUOTE: Under the framework, the range of student backgrounds, learning differences, and perspectives, taken collectively, are seen as an instructional asset that can be used to launch and support all students in a deep and shared exploration of the same context and open task.
