We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Wife and I watched them last winter. At times the nest and eagle was completely covered in snow. The eggs unfortunately had never developed.

I have been following them for a while. I get so nervous when it is major milestones: Them returning to the nest in the fall/winter, laying the eggs, the eggs bathing, the eaglet fledging. The two eagles have such personalities! It has been so interesting to see how different they are and how they are with each other.
Spouse has been watching them this year and was concerned when the snow came. However, it was explained that there is a critical temperature range if the eggs are to hatch and that it is easier for the eagles to keep the eggs warm during cold spells than to try to cool them down during warmer weather.
