Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Gen Z workers say they should be hired for their ‘personality,’ not productivity: We ‘set the vibes’
And the vibes they set are palpable wherever they "work," sending the unequivocal message "These people have shxt for brains." Whereupon I beat a hasty retreat and add that workplace to my No Fly list. QUOTE: Woke Lancet Warns: ‘Highest Global Temperatures in over 100,000 Years’ . . . The once prestigious Lancet medical journal has made the astounding claim the year 2023 saw “the highest global temperatures in over 100,000 years,” even though temperature data collection only began in the 19th century. Wow! If only there were a method that humans could use to garner knowledge of the natural world that are beyond direct experience. Who knows what might be discovered? The composition of the Sun? Whether the Earth was once covered in ice or molten rock? Of what matter and energy are made? Or even the origins of the human species? Keep dreaming humans. It is beyond your ken. "Keep dreaming humans. It is beyond your ken."
The Borg AI is getting cheeky. Insurance Industry Execs ‘Alarmed’ by Surge in Deaths Among Young People — But Stop Short of Blaming COVID Shots
QUOTE: Dowd said he believes the COVID-19 vaccines are causing widespread, otherwise inexplicable, excess deaths. “We don’t have proof. It’s our thesis,” he said. But “if you have a brain in your head,” the data are persuasive, he said. “Obviously I think it’s the vaccines.” https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/surge-young-people-deaths-insurance-industry/ There is a lot to read at the link. "...beyond your ken."
Imagine that rich globalist openly (and secretly too) conspire to take away everything from all human beings, but especially those who live in the first world. That they have meetings and plan to kill/decolonize white people and again they do it openly even write books and "manifestos" about their plans. They fly into Davos in private jets and the Swiss police lock down the city to make sure the "people" don't get too near the elite. Would this make a great movie or what? Now imagine it is real and for most of us it is "beyond your ken." They use the global warming grift and carefully planned Crisis/wars to seduce the unwashed and under educated. They buy or extort politicians. They use internet bots with unlikely namezzs to confuse and correct anyone who tries to think for themselves. And it works! Our politicians are selling us down that road and our children and our under educated adults are cheering them on and gluing themselves to roads. But the majority of us have to work and have families to raise and responsibilities to meet that are not paid for by taxes, so we are too busy to protest or speak out and our elected officials have learned that every couple of years that they can lie to us and get elected and then continue to collect payola from the elite and non-"profits" and we stupid common folks never catch on... "it is beyond your ken." OneGuy: Now imagine it is real and for most of us it is "beyond your ken."
Turns out that there is a method beyond natural experience that can bring aspects of the natural universe within human ken; including the composition of the Sun, changes in Earth's climate, even the origin of the human species. The original claim was that humans can't know anything about Earth's mean surface temperature before the invention of artificial thermometers. But that ignores the many lines of evidence from the natural world. Your conspiracy theory depends on ignoring the scientific evidence. The climate grifters will never voluntarily give up their place at the taxpayer trough and will ignore any and all evidence that the climate change we experience is natural and ongoing until, of course, we enter another global cooling glaciation era.
https://climatediscussionnexus.com/2021/03/10/but-if-co2-drives-temperature/ https://canadafreepress.com/article/climate-scare-blown-up-by-geology None of this is from the Lancet which couldn't even get Covid 'science' right. "even the origin of the human species."
Why don't you explain to us the origin of the human species? I'd love to hear it. "Your conspiracy theory depends on ignoring the scientific evidence."
Your scientific evidence is proof of the conspiracy theory. Re: Decolonizing Thanksgiving
1. About all this idiocy about “decolonizing” things: Why aren’t the millions of people who are coming across our southern border colonizing the US? 2. The real celebration of Thanksgiving is celebrating the bounty that came from getting rid of socialist policies when the colony was founded. Everyone sharing equally was replaced with individual initiative. It was also a celebration of colonist-Indian friendship. The type of people who run “The Nation” want to destroy both of those ideas. Question 1 is a good one, but I suspect you know the answer to it. Only white people can colonize.
Thanksgiving is a national holiday for giving thanks to The Lord for the blessings He has bestowed upon us. The Nation should hate Thanksgiving with a passion for no other reason than that. I certainly didn't intend to minimize giving thanks to the Lord who provided the bounty - which was not provided when the colonists focused on "equality" rather than individual initiative. Why, it's almost as if God prefers that people treat each other as individuals!
"...that if any would not work, neither should he eat." -- 2 THESSALONIANS 3:10 I would guess that Javier Mile could meet his maker in less than a year. The left has grown violent and impatient. They have plans for the NWO and it doesn't include human rights and freedoms. If he isn't assassinated then he will likely be found guilty of numerous crimes. Who knows he might have raped someone when he was in high school and she will come forward with her tearful story and a complete lack of facts. But whatever it takes he must go.
Did you know that some years back Argentina was on track to be one of the richest most productive nation in the world? It took just one stolen election to bring them to their knees. Ditto for Venezuela. Stolen elections have consequences. Did you know that some years back Argentina was on track to be one of the richest most productive nation in the world? It took just one stolen election to bring them to their knees.
And precisely which "stolen election" would that be? Powerline:THE DAILY CHART: ARGENTINA’S TRAJECTORY—AND OURS? Post World War 2, Argentina kept slipping in world rank, due mainly to the big government policies of Juan Domingo Peron which began after his 1945 election. But he got elected by big majorities. And the trend continued. Ditto for Venezuela. Stolen elections have consequences. Ditto. And precisely which "stolen election" would that be? Hugo won fair and square in 1998. One might call the December 2015 legislative elections stolen, because although the opposition won two-thirds of the legislative seats, Maduro dissolved the legislature. Presidential elections after 2015 were definitely stolen because Maduro didn't permit any legitimate opposition figure on the ballot. Nonetheless, Venezuela was ruined before 2015, as shown by the collapse of the economy after the 2014 fall in the price of oil. Venezuela's 2010 legislative elections could definitely be called stolen. There were a number of examples of legislative districts that had a much larger than average number of voters/residents, and of legislative districts that had a very small number of voters/residents.
Guess what? Legislative districts that had much larger than average number of voters/residents voted for opposition candidates. Legislative districts that had a very small number of voters/residents voted for Chavista candidates. The Constitution, which Chavistas wrote, states that legislative districts should be apportioned by size. Stolen? Hell, yes. So this is anecdotal from my own experience. I lived in Caracas for 3 years from 1981-1984. I also have also worked in elections in USA for 16 years.
The idea that any election in Venezuela was ever legitimate, in the way that USA Americans define legitimate, is laughable. Before we consider "can we save the universities" we should ask "should we save the universities"
Universities adapted after missing the Industrial Revolution after money started flowing from the inventors. But it takes 40+ years for universities to adapt. We are now at another inflection after the non-STEM side of universities have degraded to their current state. On the upside, no one needs a university to read, consider and reflect on the great body of valuable knowledge sans useless modern professor profiteering. QUOTE: The idea is, of course, that men are successful because they have gone to college. No idea was ever more absurd. No man is successful because he has managed to pass a certain number of courses and has received a sheepskin which tells the world in Latin, that neither the world nor the graduate can read, that he has successfully completed the work required. If the man is successful, it is because he has the qualities for success in him; the college "education" has merely, speaking in terms' of horticulture, forced those qualities and given him certain intellectual tools with which to work—tools which he could have got without going to college, but not nearly so quickly. So far as anything practical is concerned, a college is simply an intellectual hothouse. For four years the mind of the undergraduate is put "under glass," and a very warm and constant sunshine is poured down upon it. The result is, of course, that his mind blooms earlier than it would in the much cooler intellectual atmosphere of the business world. A man learns more about business in the first six months after his graduation than he does in his whole four years of college. But—and here is the "practical" result of his college work—he learns far more in those six months than if he had not gone to college. He has been trained to learn, and that, to all intents and purposes, is all the training he has received. To say that he has been trained to think is to say essentially that he has been trained to learn, but remember that it is impossible to teach a man to think. The power to think must be inherently his. All that the teacher can do is help him learn to order his thoughts—such as they are. Marks, Percy, "Under Glass", Scribner's Magazine Vol 73, 1923, Outside of really PECS (Physics Engineering Computer Science) in STEM, universities seem today to actively interfere with real learning and impede the student developing good thinking skills and even the whiff of what education means in its true definition, which is not knowing a lot of facts, but rather discipline of intellect, regulation of emotions and establishment of principles. |
