Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

No. Thank YOU. As a military retiree, I am blessed with a thank-you note in the form of a generous annuity payment, every month, for the rest of my days. From the grateful--if sometimes grudging--citizens of the United States. Again, THANK YOU.

Thank you. It was an honor to serve. I have five children born in five different states. I got to enjoy/endure both Alaska and Saudi Arabia.
I'm deeply grateful to those peers who saw and endured what I only hear and read about.

No need. I came from nowhere and there was a line behind me a mile long. Wearing the "Wings of Gold" was the grandest privilege of my life. I met some of the finest "salt of the earth" people ever to come from my generation. Lessons learned saved my life on multiple occasions. I served proudly for freedom. I would not, today, sacrifice my life for somebody's pronouns.
