Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

QUOTE: ALAN DERSHOWITZ: Al Gore, his legal team and I tried to find uncounted presidential votes, lobbied officials and fought in the courts in 2000. Not even close. Al Gore exhausted all his legal avenues. Having done so, he conceded. He then presided over the electoral count declaring Bush the winner. QUOTE: Where is Hillary’s Indictment on the Same Charges as Trump? . . . “Russian interference was performed to help Donald Trump get elected” Russia did interfere to help Donald Trump get elected, and the Trump campaign welcomed that help. Clinton conceded the day after the election. QUOTE: I Read the Georgia Indictment, So You Don’t Have To . . . The second main thrust of the indictment involves the fact that Trump and his “co-conspirators” arranged for an alternate slate of pro-Trump electors to be identified in Georgia. Georgia had already certified their electors. Trump's electors falsely claimed to be "duly elected and qualified". Zachriel: What doesn't it know?

Hillary wasn't indicted at all for her interference in the 2016 elections. Still they haven't produced any evidence of criminality on Trump’s part. Z: Clinton conceded the day after the election.
So. After that she continued to complain without evidence that the election had been stolen from her. mudbug: So. After that she continued to complain without evidence that the election had been stolen from her.
You might want to be specific. Regardless, complaining is not a crime—unless it leads to criminal actions, such as illegally accessing election computer systems. Ignore or make up anything you like, Quibble-DickZ, still there is no evidence of criminality by Trump.
If no one responds to the troll, then the troll won't have anyone to argue with.
Follow the money. Corrupt politicians and bureaucrats make money off the homeless crisis. There is a giant pot of money that goes into "fighting" homelessness and this money isn't tracked. Everyone involved is stealing money from this fund. It is not coincidental that Democrat run cities and states have this problem because that is where the thieves are, Democrats. Ditto for the illegal alien crisis. This is what Democrats do; create crises and profit from them.
The solution: federal, state and local government banned from spending any funds on homeless or illegals except for law enforcement and incarceration. The scandal isn't that Trump was indicted. The scandal is that Hillary wasn't.
These two things cannot be separated. Laws that are not evenly enforced are not laws, they are weapons. It’s not even about Hillary, it’s about the system being captured by a group of corrupt actors who use police power against anyone who challenges them. That is the scandal. FBI admits Hillary used bleachbit software designed to hide traces of deleted emails.
Gateway pundit aug 25 2016 Just us the rising tide of civil unrest Armstrong economics aug 10 2023 Aide destroyed Hillary's old phones with a hammer Daily Caller 9/2/2016 There are always excuses for Hillary's failure to follow the rules everyone else must follow. Erasmus: The scandal isn't that Trump was indicted. The scandal is that Hillary wasn't.
Already responded to this above. Clinton conceded the day after the election. "Conceding" is nothing more than words. It carries no legal weight. No one is obligated to concede or make any kind of statement. You can concede and then take it back with your later words, like Hillary did, because it's just a custom, nothing more.
In the pictures of the Maui fire you will see a line of cars on Front Street in Lahaina burned beyond recognition. How did that happen? It seems that when the fires first started a policeman stopped traffic from exiting Lahaina and as a result many of the people trapped in those cars trying to get away died in those cars. Why?
re BLUE CITIES: GETTING IT GOOD AND HARD
With regard to the out of control crime, one wonders if the blues cities have passed the point of no return? Even if they reverse course and start prosecuting criminals, will they be able to make more than a small dent in criminal activity? If the locusts completely gut the big cities, will the cancer spread to suburbia and rural America? I fear events have been set in motion that may be very difficult to stop. I think the cities are done. First, they are run by democrat socialists who only understand higher taxes. Second, they are running out of money and need more and more fiat fed to them by the Feds. And third, they have become uncivil, thieving centers of corruption and grift.
They have no long term future when violating even one of those tenets. It would be easy enough to put a stop to the shoplifting - just recognize that people who have no compunction about violating the rules of a civilized society have no room to complain when they are treated the same as they treat others. Treat them the same as you would a cockroach or a rat, hang their bodies outside the store with a sign around their neck warning shoplifters to beware. I dare say you wouldn't have to do it more than a couple of times before the shoplifting stopped. If the law doesn't protect you from thieves, of what use is the law? Only a fool continues to follow a law that only applies to the lawful.
I agree. The worse the conditions in the cities (and those conditions are spreading to smaller towns) get, the more drastic the reaction will have to be to turn things around. The problem is that the problem exists because the people voted for (maybe the assumption that they voted for it is incorrect!) and/or supported the reduction of serious punishment so they are unlikely to support the harsher action needed. They will likely be the first ones accusing the police or whoever inflicts that punishment of being fascists.
"If violent crime is to be curbed, it is only the intended victim who can do it. The felon does not fear the police, and he fears neither judge nor jury. Therefore, what he must be taught to fear is his victim."
-- Lt. Col. Jeff Cooper, USMC The catch in Lt Col Cooper's remark is that the victim knows it is he who may be prosecuted for defending himself and not the perpetrator.
Nothing will change as long as that is the case. If the federal judges do decide that Trump and Trump administration people must be prosecuted in federal courts and not state courts this may be a game changer. A bonus would be to move these cases to more neutral venues where a fair jury could be formed. I'm thinking that the Georgia and NY prosecutors could face their own legal problems if these charges are thrown out and/or Trump not found guilty. They are clearly misusing their position and in the process committing crimes themselves.
Re: egg producers
It's seems odd to me that a man who claims he is a woman would denigrate women as being "egg producers" like any chicken or snake. Where are the women of “The Handmaid’s Tale”? Where are the women of “The Handmaid’s Tale”?
The are supporting the strong brave "woman" Admiral. The weird thing is that they all cosplay as the Handmaids but lefties would actually be the women helping with the oppression. re Why Bill Watterson Vanished
Thanks for the post. It was interesting. He sounds like a troubled soul. The Calvin & Hobbes reruns is one of only two comic strips I still read on a daily basis. Breaking-GA senator calls for special session to rein in Soros/CCP/WEF prosecutor.

And they complain about "food deserts." I believe they could change the word "may" to "will" close.
Ditto for Gump's in San Fran. I don't see how conditions could possibly improve enough in time to save these stores. How long before Catholics and others Christians who don't believe in the whole LGBT thing are not just unfit to adopt or foster but also unfit to keep their own children?
