What good does drug enforcement really do?

I feel that drug abuse is a terrible life plan, but what good does enforcement do? It's a serious question.

After 50 Years, the DEA Is Still Losing the War on Drugs

Seems to me that all massive enforcement could ever do is to raise the prices. There are always customers. As I have said before, I had fentanyl once, for a routine colonoscopy. Sheesh, it was pleasant.

What's your plan for drug abuse in the US, given that most abusers reject treatment?

Simple solution. Allow any parent to shoot and kill anyone who offers drugs to their children. I am 100% serious. Either fix this
problem or quit office. Singapore doesn't have a drug problem. It can be fixed. We, those who do not use drugs, should not have to put up with this.

Our drug kingpins--Bill and Hillary Clinton--need I say more to point you in an affirmative direction that will help to expose the whole system to bright daylight! You don't want to do that then just keep on keeping on~

Stay away from every possible drug including the legal ones. There seems to be little difference between pharma and the street dealers.

That includes alcohol, a legal drug.

It was an education in human physiology and chilhood athletics that saved me from hard alcohol and white drugs.

My athleticism rebelled vehemently against heroin. I hated my body's submission to it the minute I tried it, and I swore it off immediately.

My education immunized me against Meth, and Coke, and all the other "can't sleep and can't eat but just wanna go go go" drugs. I am forewarned that the thermodynamic laws forbid them, I was taught that our cellular machinery cannot function while we are on them, and I know that the Science dictates that unsuspected toxins lurk in their formulas and additives that a smart monky'd want to avoid.

So, yeah, more early cellular biology and anatomy in our schools, grafted onto a robust, athletic chilhood, and we'll be good to go.,

As a ranked wrestler in highschool in a a very populated weight class, I did coke to keep me going, so I disagree with this. That isn't an advocation of the drug, but I did find benefits to it at the moment, that had minor (and it was minor, I'm one of those who has a defense against the "down" so I didn't suffer, which is EXACTLY why I gave it up after my about 10th use.)

All substances have effects that affect each person differently. For cocaine, I would have only been addicted for the up, not to fight the down. Booze is about 50/50, marijuana was completely useless too me.

I'm not praising anything, I'm just saying that it's all different for each person, and government is the worst judge of what is reasonable.

When helping those that are incapable of helping themselves is described as an 'act of hate' we have to take a step back and look at the absolute state of our Western societies. It's a symptom of the complete and deliberate undermining of family and parenting on a higher social level. Being firm and honest with someone that is completely lost is an expression of love and compassion. Bringing them easy access to 'safe' narcotics, endless pizza, surgical and chemical mutilation is not an answer. The media will tell you otherwise. They want to twist perception. Reality will never give an inch.

It starts at home and a nuclear family. It does not help the Federal government and local law enforcement are the importers and the protection racket. Cocaine bear is based on a true story.Read up on Andrew Thornton. Start publicly executing traffickers and dealers, the probl m will stop. Pill pushing doctors and big pharma are another matter but a huge problem ans racket too

I found fentanyl ODD, but neither good nor pleasent. Now when I was younger and I did coke? Coke was GREAT, and that's EXACTLY why I stopped using it.

Fent just taught me that my feet were made of rubber. Coke, taught me, that my entire body was PERFECT, and I was a brilliant conversationalist, while both being completely wrong.

My suggestion? Coventry. Siberia.

Hardcore abusers who refuse treatment would be placed in "internal exile" in communities of like individuals. Free housing, medical care, communal meals, and all the dope they want. The only way out is rehab and staying clean for a year. Folks who walk away are ineligible for any benefits, employment, or social services other that being returned to exile.

Taxpayer funded, of course. Because confining all the junkies would be cost-effective in the reduction of property crime alone.

As skeptical as I am of drug laws, I do believe they can achieve more than raising prices. As we've learned from the weaponization of bureaucracies, there are all sorts of state pressure that can be brought to bear on people who violate a law, short of locking them all up, which is impractical. People were a lot less likely to violate drug laws openly when it meant serious trouble in their lives, like the inability to get a professional license, or rent an apartment, or get custody of children. Look at what's happening to Nigel Farage--a horrible abuse of power, but it shows what tools are available to power. We're not always as helpless as we think we are.
