We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Well, I have had good Wagyu a couple of times. It's like foie gras, but to make a regular prime thick ribeye even better, use plenty of butter. And don't grill it.
For thick steak cooked rare 8 mins on hot stove top in frying pan. Cook for 1 minute turn over, cook 1 minute, turn over, repeat until 8 mins is up. I season it after the last turn with season salt. A thinner cut can be as little as 4 min. For medium done, double the time. If your stove or pan cooks fast reduce time. To make stove clean up easier fold up a paper towel and every time you turn it push the towel around in the pan to absorb the grease. Added tip: Keep the pan on the stove and cut off any fat you don't want to eat because it's kind "raw" and cook it in the pan for a few minutes until it is crisp.
