Maggie's Farm

As is common, multiple bad decisions and equipment failures caused a catastrophic failure. It is rarely just one thing and regarding physical infrastructure it is typically from equipment failures that could have and should have been anticipated. I can list half a dozen times I have heeded the early warning signs and saved my life or at least injury. A tornado, a roof collapse, a fire in a commercial building and a hurricane caused tree fall. Numerous close calls while driving where simply seeing a potential problem and slowing or avoiding prevented an accident. I am known to family and friends to be "jumpy" and "chicken", both of which I embrace as complimentary even though it is not intended to be. I would not have hired on that ship and if for whatever reason I had I would have called in sick during Hurricane season.
