Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

The document "scandal" is actually a crime not a scandal. It is clear that Biden ferreted away these documents during his term as vice president and that is a felony. A deeper question is why? I hope he did it to hide is other crimes in Ukraine. I hope that because the alternative option is he did it to sell the documents to the Chinese. So now there are two more crimes and perhaps treason. The two additional crimes are his crimes in Ukraine of course and the coverup of those crimes. The treason would be did he sell the documents (or access to the documents to the Chinese). To answer these questions we need to know what is in the documents. BUT THAT is being hidden from us in yet another coverup by the DOJ and the FBI. More crimes!
OneGuy: It is clear that Biden ferreted away these documents during his term as vice president and that is a felony.
It would be a felony, but there is no evidence at this point to support such a claim. That they immediately contacted the authorities, conducted a more extensive search, and surrendered the documents would argue against that conclusion. OneGuy: To answer these questions we need to know what is in the documents. BUT THAT is being hidden from us in yet another coverup by the DOJ and the FBI. More crimes! Can't imagine why the government doesn't reveal to the public the secrets in classified documents. Quibble-DickZ: That they immediately contacted the authorities, conducted a more extensive search, and surrendered the documents...
Except "they" didn't. That is provably untrue. [b]Z: [\b]… but there is no evidence at this point to support such a claim.
How were sensitive documents moved (including who moved them) from a secure area to an unsecured one and then leave them there for years? And why? In the case of the documents found in his garage, it’s a hard case to make that it wasn’t Joe. Why are lawyers without security clearance searching for classified documents rather than someone with the proper clearance like an FBI agent for example? mudbug: How were sensitive documents moved (including who moved them) from a secure area to an unsecured one and then leave them there for years?
That isn't known at yet, but it looks like human error. mudbug: Why are lawyers without security clearance searching for classified documents rather than someone with the proper clearance like an FBI agent for example? When the initial document was found, the attorney stopped and contacted the authorities. The rest of the search was conducted by people with security clearances. QUOTE: Sauber said in a statement Saturday that Biden’s personal lawyers, who did not have security clearances, stopped their search after finding the first page on Wednesday evening. Sauber found the remaining material Thursday, as he was facilitating their retrieval by the Department of Justice. “While I was transferring it to the DOJ officials who accompanied me, five additional pages with classification markings were discovered among the material with it, for a total of six pages,” Sauber said. “The DOJ officials with me immediately took possession of them.” https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/lawyers-found-more-classified-documents-at-bidens-home-than-previously-stated QUOTE: This boggles the mind." - Andy McCarthy on the what he terms the "gross negligence" of Merrick Garland's DOJ in its rankly partisan decision to permit Biden aides, rather than the FBI, to conduct searches VIRTUALLY CERTAIN to turn up classified documents they lacked the required security clearances to even view. Cry harder, Quibble-DickZ. Thank you Zach now if you are done we have another pig that needs lipstick.
What this case boils down to is Biden illegally squirreled away classified documents, stored them improperly, they have more than likely been compromised and enough federal laws have been broken to put people in jail for 30 years. There is no acceptable excuse, i.e. "human error" or "immediately contacted the authorities" or "surrendered the documents". At every step a felony was committed. The sole purpose of the special prosecutor in this case is to cover it up. I would predict two possibilities: 1. The special prosecutor declares after a few months that no guilt, no charges, all is forgiven. OR 2. He keeps the case open and secret until Biden passes away. What a third world country the Democrats have made of the once great and proud US of A. OneGuy: There is no acceptable excuse, i.e. "human error" or "immediately contacted the authorities" or "surrendered the documents".
18 U.S. Code § 1924 requires that the person acted knowingly, so an error of misplacing a classified document (defined as concerning the national defense or foreign relations) would not represent a criminal act. Immediately contacting the authorities and surrendering the documents would mitigate the damage, but would not exonerate a person who did act knowingly.

To find out, an Independent Counsel investigation has been opened. QUOTE: The Journal reports that the Biden team decided to have aides who did not have security clearances search the president’s private residences for additional classified documents after the first batch was found. Perhaps even worse, the Biden Justice Department declined to have the FBI present and overseeing these searches, even though it had abundant reason to know more secret intelligence would be found, as well as a duty to ensure that the bureau both preserved evidence and protected national security. https://www.nationalreview.com/2023/01/bidens-doj-was-grossly-negligent-in-handling-classified-document-searches/ No, the felony is not having the TS (SCI) documents properly secured. Reporting it affects, rightly, only the severity of the punishment, which is likely to be very, very harsh. Like years of jail and permanent loss of clearances to access similar documents. Compromising TS documents is akin to treason.
Mark: No, the felony is not having the TS (SCI) documents properly secured.

So, not only did the adjunct professor warn her students about the graphical representation of Mohammed, she warned them twice, including immediately prior to showing it to the class. And then the complaining Muslim student promptly took action because she had dared to show it to anybody.
The religion of Peace and Tolerance. Except the complainant did it for political reasons, not religious ones. Pure Power Politics. What if the purpose of the war in Ukraine is to push the U.S. into depleting their critical war fighting supplies. The U.S. army is critically short of artillery ammunition because we gave it all away and haven't replaced it. We are giving away our armored vehicles and anti-aircraft missiles too and not replacing them. Why are we doing this?
Anon: What if the purpose of the war in Ukraine is to push the U.S. into depleting their critical war fighting supplies.
Russia and China have a GDP of $20 trillion and are largely dependent on imports from the West for high-technology components. NATO and its democratic partners have a combined GDP of $50 trillion and are the global leaders in technological innovation. Much of that money is wasted, of course, but so is much of Russia's military spending, as we have seen. The West can certainly respond to the threat, but it will take consistent effort and a more rational fiscal policy to do so. So you think that a poorer country cannot possibly win against a richer country. Did you skip history in school?
JustMe: So you think that a poorer country cannot possibly win against a richer country.
Sure, they can. Ukraine is showing what a small country can do to make an invader pay a high price for aggression. The West, however, is far from unprepared. Adversaries can take on soft targets and disrupt international trade, but they do not have the capability of a direct conventional attack on NATO. The claim was that the war in Ukraine was an attempt to degrade the supply of ordnance in the West, but this is exactly where GDP and commitment can make the difference. Indeed, it may leave the West better prepared than before the war. Any word that encompasses a concept as large as "woman" is going to have varying meanings depending on context. You can assign different meanings if you're talking about genotype, phenotype, physical, social or cultural cases. It is entirely possible that someone may present as a phenotypical male, but socially as female.
The big dispute, is who gets to assign the social and cultural definitions, and which definitions get used in different situations. At this time the Left is demanding, first off, that they are the only ones who have the right to make these determinations, and secondly that social definitions of "female" trump all others. another guy named Dan: Any word that encompasses a concept as large as "woman" is going to have varying meanings depending on context.
That's right. There are biological, genetic, sexual, gender, and social definitions. And people don't always fit neatly into such categories. another guy named Dan: The big dispute, is who gets to assign the social and cultural definitions, and which definitions get used in different situations. At this time the Left is demanding, first off, that they are the only ones who have the right to make these determinations, and secondly that social definitions of "female" trump all others. Generally, those on the left are deferring to the individual person to make that determination with regards to gender. Cool Hand Luke did not choose his identity. It was assigned by his "community" (fellow prisoners).
I can call myself a sculptor, but if all I produce is amorphous blobs of stone and blood-stained rock chips, no one else will call me a sculptor. At best, I might be known as a "self-described sculptor" or "wanna be sculptor". One can influence how one's community views them by their behavior. "It's been a long time comin'
It's goin' to be a long time gone But you know The darkest hour Is always, always just before the dawn..." h/t D. Crosby I saw a post today from a message ego boy (Crosby) sent someone that asked him if he believed in Covid-19 vaccines. He replied, "Of course I do.... I took one....Truthfully....You have to be a room temperature IQ not to understand them and ascertain it is the correct move." And now, the self-righteous prick is room temperature. Karma's a bitch.
Anonymous White Male: Karma's a bitch.
The evidence shows that every single person who got the vaccine will die at some point in the future. I believe the "evidence" shows that everyone dies at some point in the future. I find it appropriate that a self-promoting egoist, with mediocre talent, who constantly ran his mouth about things he knew nothing about had the temerity to impugn the intelligence of those that questioned and did not get the jab and commented about how he "understood" how relatively new medical technology worked. But, that was ego boy's MO throughout his time on this earth. Implying how he was superior because of his unoriginal opinions, promoting sex and drugs, while succumbing to drugs and paranoia, spending time in the joint because of his retarded opinions, cutting in line to get a new liver after he had destroyed his own, and assuming a position of someone who should be listened to when he should have been ignored.
Anonymous White MaleI believe the "evidence" shows that everyone dies at some point in the future. [/i]
Agreed. The vast majority of people (94%) who have ever lived have died. I was VERY SURPRISED to see this.
I never knew there was a 100,000 strong Chinese labor corps doing fetch and carry work on the western front in WWI. https://blogs.bl.uk/untoldlives/2023/01/celebrating-the-lunar-new-year-on-the-front-lines-in-world-war-one.html If Alec Baldwin can be charged with manslaughter for killing a producer with a gun that was supposed to be harmless and he had no way of knowing it was dangerous; Why can't Big Pharma officials and government officials be charged with manslaughter and even charged with murder when they knowingly forced vaccinations on people knowing that many would die from the vax??? Where are the prosecutors who so eagerly charge people for accidents but ignore what is shaping up to being the biggest genocide in history?
I recognize that the big pharma was given a guarantee that they would not be sued for damages BUT I don't think that prevents them from being charged with a crime, in this case manslaughter or murder. And it surely doesn't absolve government officials who knew the vax was deadly but mandated it anyway. There should be prosecutions and trials. The public needs to know what happened and the government needs to know that there are repercussions to their tyranny. I want to see Fauci and people from the CDC frog walked to jail and face trial. JustMe: If Alec Baldwin can be charged with manslaughter for killing a producer with a gun that was supposed to be harmless and he had no way of knowing it was dangerous; Why can't Big Pharma officials and government officials be charged with manslaughter and even charged with murder when they knowingly forced vaccinations on people knowing that many would die from the vax???
Alec Baldwin should have checked the gun, and he may be criminally liable. The evidence concerning the COVID vaccine do not support a criminal charge or even civil liability under the law. JustMe: I recognize that the big pharma was given a guarantee that they would not be sued for damages Liability protection was enacted during the Bush Administration with the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act. JustMe: BUT I don't think that prevents them from being charged with a crime, If the manufacturers knew the vaccine was dangerous and withheld that information from the regulators, then they would be liable. However, the vaccines passed Phase 3 trials with very strong results and little evidence of any serious side effects. Since then, the data clearly shows that the vaccines saved far more lives than were lost due to deleterious effects from the vaccine. Quibble-DickZ: However, the vaccines passed Phase 3 trials with very strong results and little evidence of any serious side effects.
Except y'all don't know that. Y'all be parsing words again like "very strong evidence" and "serious side effects"... Cry harder, Quibble-DickZ. I like the new MLK statue. It epitomizes the far left of the black community no matter how you choose to interpret it. Because in the end the only thing that matters to them is it's color.
College degree, citizenship, money, all worthless, is part of the plan.
These things happen when you have a bought and paid for government who works for external enemies. They intend to bring the former USA down so that it never rises again. Saw a Rebel News video where they questioned the Pfizer CEO Borla about criminal charges, when did he know the vaccine wasn't safe, how does it feel to destroy so many lives. Either modern "diversity" demands diversity of speech, thought, and views, or it's an evil lie. Mark: Yes, especially if those "people" are empowered to compel speech.
You are free to use the n-word. However, people are free to criticize you. That’s how freedom works.
