Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Yahoo! just posted an article about how an enormous hole in the ozone layer seems to be healing itself. They can't even keep their stories straight. If we can't get the FBI to do an early morning raid on Bidens three houses at least can we get the FBI to spread out the documents and take pictures to make it look as though that was how they found them?
QUOTE: At least $54 million has been donated by Chinese Communist Party-linked individuals or entities between 2014 and 2019 to the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington at the University of Pennsylvania, according to public records reported by the New York Post, where it was revealed this week that Biden had stashed a trove of classified documents. https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2023/01/10/biden-center-upenn-received-54-6m-anonymous-chinese-donations/ So Joe had his lawyers cleaning out his office and they found some classified documents. Joe has no idea what the classified documents were or how they got there because he didn't ask - he was advised by his lawyers not to ask. I know when I send my lawyers to clean out my storage shed, I never ask them about the dead bodies they found there, that's totally normal to hire lawyers as a cleaning crew and to be amazingly incurious as to what they find. Sure. And Biden lies so casually and so continuously that I have no doubt this story is as true as his first wife being killed by a drunk driver, his career as a truck driver, his appointment to the naval academy, his son being killed in Iraq, his face-off with Cornpop, his All-American college football playing days, his civil rights protest arrests, and a thousand other tall tales.
OneGuy: If we can't get the FBI to do an early morning raid on Bidens three houses
A search warrant requires a showing of probable cause, and the evidence must be specific and recent. With Trump, the government provided the court recent evidence that there were documents marked classified and relating to the national defense at Mar-a-Lago. This was only after having subpoenaed the documents, and after Trump’s attorney attested that all such documents had been surrendered. None of this applies to the Biden situation. Jerryskids: Joe has no idea what the classified documents were or how they got there because he didn't ask - he was advised by his lawyers not to ask. That's right. It would be advisable for the President to keep away from any investigation of the documents to prevent any undue influence. Correction: a search warrant requires probable cause if the target is a Democrat. If the target is a Republican, it's easy enough to get a warrant without PC, and if the judge balks, you can just perjure yourself. You might get your license suspended for a while, but you'll get it back.
Texan99: If the target is a Republican, it's easy enough to get a warrant without PC
Sure. Change the facts as necessary to make it fit your preset conclusions. In this case, there was ample evidence that Trump was withholding documents marked classified, including witnesses who had recent knowledge of their whereabouts. Regarding the Roman concrete, this is a great story on basic civil engineering. Concrete is great, when it's in compression. But any basic beam sags under its own weight - putting the top half in compression, the bottom half in tension - hence, the need for re-bar and more sophisticated techniques, like post-stressing, which they do for roadways, tightening up rods within the cement to force permanent compressive stresses. I was surprised he didn't mention compressive strength. Roman cement may be self-healing and long-lived, but it's very low compressive strength by modern standards, some of it less than 1,000 psi (i.e. 1,000 psi force makes it crumble). Modern standards for a slab are around 2,500 psi if I recall correctly, and for major structures like bridges, it's more like 10,000 psi. Still - it was a pretty impressive feat of the Roman engineers to figure out how to concoct cement that would slowly heal itself over time. Accident, trial, and error do amazing things when you have 1,000 years to watch them.
I read once that a reason why Roman concrete structures have lasted so long is that they did not use rebar--though they were limited by the requirement that all members have to be kept in compression. The problem with today's rebar is that it is subject to corrosion (rust). As the metal corrodes, it expands and cracks the concrete around it. We could avoid this, if we wished, by using stainless steel or (say) carbon fiber reinforcement, but apparently nowadays we feel wealthy enough to just replace our bridges and buildings every couple of generations instead of designing them to last.
Of course, that is not all bad, when one considers how oppressively ugly "Brutalist" style concrete buildings are: We can look forward to their being demolished, possibly even in our lifetime. QUOTE: Mainstream Media Confesses Russia Hoax At Last The study only included Twitter, not the much larger Facebook. Also, the study didn't have the fine detail necessary to determine whether small changes in voter behavior in contested states could have made a significant difference to election results. (A Russian agent was provided access to detailed polling data by an associate of the Trump campaign.) Nor does lack of results signify lack of trying. Finally, Russian hacking of the Clinton campaign certainly had a substantial effect on the campaign. ("Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing.") QUOTE: It only took seven years, but I guess that’s quick work for our media these days. It wasn't the media, but the study itself that took time. Regardless, that doesn't mean the "Mainstream Media Confesses Russia Hoax At Last". Why did the study only include twitter and why did the study not "have the fine detail necessary to determine whether small changes in voter behavior in contested states could have made a significant difference to election results."
Because the FBI and DOJ are still covering it up. We are no longer a country of laws. We have lost our republic and are owned by the elite. It is all a farce a Potemkin village left in place until they can remove the last dollar, the last freedom and squash the last patriot/freeman. Watch the fight now that will happen as the new House tries to release the video and documents from the J6 event and kangaroo trial. It will be a dirty, no holds barred fight because the evidence against the Democrats is going to be breath taking. Watch for the name calling by Democrats and the "Lawfare" and behind the scenes battles to keep it all secret. I would not be surprised if Jim Jordan was suddenly under FBI investigation OR child porn found on his computer OR commits suicide OR dies suddenly. Pay attention to this issue, they want to destroy all those documents and video but they want to do it on the down low. Perhaps a fire in the building where it is all stored or it all simply disappears. This coverup includes the stolen 2020 election so they must stop the release to the public. Within hours of Trump's "troll", Clinton's private server was attacked by Russian hackers. There should have been no private server. No private server = no hack on private server.
indyjonesouthere: There should have been no private server.
You are confused. This attack occurred when Trump was president and after Clinton was out of office. So what. No private server= no hack. Hillary has been a paranoid since cattle futures and Arkansas.
indyjonesouthere: No private server= no hack.
Clinton has a right to her own private email. Trump invited Russia to hack a U.S. citizen. And having a private server means she will be hacked. She deserves it as she helped promote the Russia, Russia, Russia with US intelligence submitting false information to the FISA courts, of which Hillary was involved, and then spying on Trump and likely still spying on Trump.

Huh? That's like saying if you have a private residence, you will be burglarized. Private individuals and organizations often have private servers. That is no excuse for encouraging criminal behavior. indyjonesouthere: She deserves it . . . You're advocating criminal behavior.

Hillary is paranoid of anyone seeing ANY of her emails...Trump had fun playing to that paranoia.
Hillary was advocating for lawbreaking by paying for the fake Steele dossier.

She does, but she had no right to conduct government business on it or have classified satellite images with the markings stripped off. Both are against the law and the second was clearly a felony.

Private emails are sometimes used by government officials, but discouraged. However, keep in mind that even state.gov emails should not include classified information. John Fisher: or have classified satellite images with the markings stripped off One media source reported that information derived from satellite data was involved, not an image. John Fisher: Both are against the law and the second was clearly a felony. The former is not illegal. That latter lacked the elements of scienter and bad faith which must be present. Of course, none of this excuses encouraging a foreign government to hack into a U.S. citizen's private correspondence.

One media source? We've seen how reliable media sources are on Russia, Russia, Russia. They far more often are nothing but news laundering agents for government. Whatever the government narrative is becomes the focus of the msm. Yahoo was caught laundering Russia, Russia, Russia information by fake sources to enable the FBI/DOJ to continue their illegitimate FISA requests. The FBI makes it appear that similar information is flowing in from separate sources. We have media/government collusion with social media to create narratives, feed the narratives to the public and make sure dissenting news and views are filtered out.

The Washington Times reported that information derived from satellite data was involved, seemingly a discussion about nuclear assets being moved.

They say “Multiple intelligence sources.” It’s consistent with how classified information leaks into email discussions, but feel free to discount the report. That would leave John Fisher’s claim lacking any support.

USC bans field work..... Nobody seems to be catching the further implication of this. There are two components to the issue: Field and Work. It must follow that if field is banned because it is triggering, work cannot be far behind. Brilliant on their part. No more work too traumatic.
