Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

NYC last night

A tad late for Christmas lights, in my view.

Looks chilly and damp.

Every one in the pictures are decades younger than I am.

I wouldn't fit in.

I like to see safe streets and people enjoying life. But as a non-New Yorker it isn't clear to me what they are doing. I would like to believe there is a back story for them to be standing around in the dark and freezing cold. Don't get me wrong, I love the cold and the snow. But I prefer to walk in the woods alone or with my wife looking for animal tracks or simply enjoying the great outdoors.

I have been to NY City a few times over the years and what I enjoyed was walking the streets and alleys and through the parks. Today NY City doesn't seem safe. Perhaps the natives living there would have a different opinion but I could not consider going to NY City given what I see in the news.

An increase in vodka rations for all as no facecrime is present in the photos.
Corporate logo and sportsball winter hats are acceptable.
In the land of the biomedical security state obedience is a virtue.
The state will keep you safe by any means necessary.
