We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Long time lurker, your blog is a necessary daily stop. Thanks to all. I'll comment as coincidentally I watched a similar vessel on a trailer this morning. The vessel was mostly complete as I could tell. Had not been painted. I believe she was being delivered to a former client of ours located few miles from us in Theodore, AL.
Silverships has decades of producing aluminum vessels primarily for governmental agencies. The video did not id the fabricator and a check of their web site did not list USCG as a client. All the other agencies are clients. They produced a fleet of target boats in the past 15-20 years. These were 20-30' with remote steering designed to test munitions including missiles.
Nice boats, all painted and finished as normal. Just to be blown to hell.
I too wish I could have spent time at sea. Small regret as I near the end of my days.
