Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

A handful of pole-smokers keel over and it's a global emergency.
Hopefully people are wary enough of the CDC and WHO after the "pandemic" and don't listen this time. Denninger pretty well addressed the Covid hoax in his own unique way.
"You done with nice yet"? https://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=246438 QUOTE: It does not matter what variant of Covid you got. The original, Delta, Omicron, whatever. You got it once, you lived (using whatever interventions you decided upon from zero to whatever) and that's it in terms of risk when it comes to severe or fatal outcomes. If you took the jabs, however, the evidence, which we already know (and thus is the reason for "urging" people to get boosters) is that they become next to worthless within a couple of months and block primary immunity in a large percentage of the people who take them if you get infected, so you are very likely to have forfeited the benefit of long-term protection from serious or fatal outcomes when you get reinfected if you took the jabs. In short if you took the jab and then get the virus you may well not get that durable immunity. At all. Ever. feeblemind: If you took the jabs, however, the evidence, which we already know (and thus is the reason for "urging" people to get boosters) is that they become next to worthless within a couple of months and block primary immunity in a large percentage of the people who take them if you get infected, so you are very likely to have forfeited the benefit of long-term protection from serious or fatal outcomes when you get reinfected if you took the jabs.
That is incorrect. Immunization results in a long-term immune response. See Goel et al., mRNA vaccines induce durable immune memory to SARS-CoV-2 and variants of concern, Science 2021. COVID-19 was a novel coronavirus, which is why it was so dangerous. Antibodies to COVID wane over time, whether from vaccination or infection. The virus also mutates to avoid existing antibodies. However, immune memory cells can adapt to changes in the virus and react quickly to new infections. The result is that you may become infected, but your body will be primed to respond, and the infection will tend to be short and less severe. The advantage of immunization is that it is much lower risk than natural infection, and the antigen load doesn't vary as it does for natural infection. You have no idea of what you are writing about.
But then you never do. Why don't you shut up? Re Pete Seeger: Prof. Harvey Klehr, of all people, really ought to know better what is going on here. Not putting his mug on a US Postal Stamp is not "erasing [him] from history". It would be recognizing his true nature and mission, which was simply the destruction of the United States and its replacement with a Communist regime. That is the mission of all Communists, including Pete Seeger. Being honored with a postage stamp is just that, an honor, and is properly reserved for those whose life work advanced our ideals of liberty and respect for individual rights. Seeger (a pretty mediocre singer, IMO) was the opposite of that.
I plan to post this comment on Power Line, where the article this quote came from was published. I doubt that I'll be the only one who raises this issue there. > Victor Davis Hanson: The Left Should Be Happy With Biden
They are, and thus, the recent media focus on his age/infirmary (vs. his policies) It's just a matter of time before he's thrown under the bus, imho. FWIW, the VP is the king maker under the 25th Amendment's procedures. The left will need to coronate Kamala or buy her off somehow. Hey! What happened to the 'rainy day' Milton Friedman post? I'm about a third of the way through and really enjoying it.
As for the links today, Criminy - where to start. QUOTE: Justice Elena Kagan: SCOTUS Losing ‘All Connection … With Public Sentiment’ Is ‘Dangerous’ for America As I said here last week - She belongs in Congress, or better yet an appropriate NGO (e.g. Common Cause). The age of woke law schools and woke medical schools. We need new degrees that contain the word "focus". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmloBdLnX3A Regarding New Jersey's brewery regulations such as
"All patrons of a brewery must take a detailed tour of that brewery before purchasing any alcohol for consumption on or off site." This ridiculous list of regulations is meant to be ridiculous. It is simply the framework regulators will use to generate shake down revenue from these breweries. Breweries threatened to comply will look around at competitors still operating without compliance and they will get the picture. It's always about money, not compliance. The breweries that pay the shakedowns will be protected and those that don't will be closed. I suspect everyone from New Jersey already understands this reality and offer the above only for those from out of state. More Build Back Better with Russia, Russia, Russia, then Covid, Covic, Covid, and once again AGW, AGW, AGW by neutralizing the opposition and then creating fear and anxiety.

Money Quote: "“Nobody wants to impregnate you if you look like a thumb.” I've been following the "mass graves" story on a Canadian blog, and it sounds very much like a racket - the tribes need tens of millions or hundreds of millions of dollars just to get started on excavating the sites. I guess Canada doesn't have too many blacks so the First Nations fill the role of race hustlers. Don't you dare criticize them, you hateful bigot.
"I guess Canada doesn't have too many blacks..."
Only about three percent of our population and a different demographic: around two-thirds are of Caribbean origin with most of the other third descendants of either Loyalist blacks or African Americans who arrived in Canada via the Underground Railroad. When the KKK tried to set up shop in Canada in the 1920s-1930s, it ran into a bit of a problem: it couldn't find many black Canadians. Most forget or don't know that the Klan promoted itself as "White, Protestant and Gentile". So in the absence of a sizeable black population - no problem! - the KKK largely switched its focus and made a nuisance of itself by going after Catholics (plenty of us in Canada!) and, as always, Jews. If there is a Monkeypox outbreak, shouldn't the institute a ban on male/male sex or sex with men who have engaged in male/male sex?
Perhaps send the police out to break up male/male sex, in the parks, on the beach, in the bars, on the sidewalk. |
