We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I haven't heard anything from Tucker in a while. A comedian might be able to make a living off snark, but a newscaster - it becomes tiresome to hear bad news delivered that way, if it's incessant. We already know it's at our expense.
As for the news: $2 billion for wind power to solve our energy problems, eh? Wow. That's almost a week's worth of Ukrainian war, these days. Nice to know where we land on the list of priorities - i.e. table scraps while the steaks go overseas..
I think Tucker is the most watched news/commentary show on TV. Pretty good living. As for 'snark' what else does the left deserve? They are trying to destroy the U.S. so they can build it back communist. Besides, snark or mean tweets or whatever we need someone telling us what the left is trying to keep secret.
When I heard that Argentina is saying: "Access to Diesel and Fertilizers is urgent to avoid complete paralysis." I flashed on Atlas Shrugged where toward the end, there were the cries for help from South America, feed us, cloth us....while the food supply, railroads, factories, etc., etc., were all crashing in the U.S.A. I don't want to dwell on the parallels
So I just read that the Army is putting Army doctors in Chicago hospitals to provide them experience in treating gunshot wounds. Does this make Baltimore jealous?
