Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

About being autistic
An extremely insightful account by a successful, high-functioning autistic is Temple Grandin's Animals in Translation: Using the Mysteries of Autism to Decode Animal Behavior. It will change your thinking about horses, cattle, dogs, and cats. That sounds like an interesting read.
I was under the impression that cats are alien beings, and as long as you understand your place in their hierarchy: they demand, you react, everything will be hunky dory. Also, check out the award-winning movie, Temple Grandin, starring Claire Danes in the titular role.
When your leadership cannot articulate a coherent energy policy, and what they do articulate is so full of logical inconsistencies and in direct conflict with other goals on growth, environment, etc., then you have neither a policy nor leadership. The damage these governments are doing to our future prosperity could not be more effective if it was openly intentional.
"4.6 million more jobs than unemployed"
it is all about how you count or who counts. Every stat that the government is in charge of is a lie and was politicized to benefit one group or another. The unemployed 4.6 million are out there but for political reasons are not counted. It is like the stat that 1/3rd of American children live in poverty based on some arbitrary definition of poverty. But in fact virtually all of those children get huge amounts of welfare that raises them way above the poverty line but none of that money can be counted. The stats are fake, by intent. Re The COVID 19 storyline: I have to disagree that this is the greatest scam in history. It's only been going on three years, and some states, and foreign nations have already wised up to it. OTOH, I know of no developed Western country that has called BS on the "Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming" (CAGW, aka "climate change") hustle. Even Trump tap-danced around the issue and did nothing to discredit it as the delusion that it is. The economic drag, pollution, and promotion of graft it generates is a self-inflicted wound that promises to damage our civilization more than any plausible act of war by our enemies ever could. Who dreamed this nonsense up and who benefits from keeping it going?
The promotion of graft is the highlight of such programs. It allows the oligarchs and their minions plenty of space around the taxpayer trough. That is the true meaning of safe spaces.
I trust you readers have heard, "Figures lie, and liars figure".
We statisticians like the two longer versions
The list of elite and famous people lining up to boycott Joe Rogan because he speaks the uncomfortable truth is growing by the day. Meanwhile the list of elite and famous people lining up to demand that the FBI release the names of the people who raped young girls on Jeffrey Epstein's Island is zero. Why is that?
Just what is it with the rich and powerful and their sexual perversions; especially with children? It’s a constant throughout human history.
>because he speaks the uncomfortable truth
Worse, it's not because of anything Rogan asserts. It's because he's willing to talk to people. Even steel-manning Young et al., it still sounds horrible. re Covid and the ‘Hygiene Hypothesis’.
and The Truth Is This Is a 'Pandemic of the Vaccinated' Thanks for posting. I have tilted at the prverbial windmill and forwarded these to the brain blind. It is day 702 of two weeks to slow the spread and finally... finally the dam of propaganda and misinformation is breaking. Masks don't work! Lockdowns don't work! The vax doesn't work! Virtually everything our government did to us didn't work! There is considerable evidence that they knew these things didn't work but proceeded with them anyway because it gave them political advantage and increased their power over us.
There must be justice for this terrible injustice to the American people. An investigation. A special prosecutor. SWAT raids on politicians and government workers homes at 5 AM with a phone call to CNN so they can have a camera there to watch as we perp walk some of these people to jail. Fauci lied, people died. Others, too many others to name lied and people died. We deserve justice and those politicians deserve prison! Tom Brady reads Attractive Woman magazine.
I must see video https://theferalirishman.blogspot.com/2022/02/keep-eye-on-what-could-possibly-start.html that helps explain what really happened on Jan 6th.
I'm sick of winter, too, but that doesn't make it go away.
As for the "pandemic of the vaccinated," please, someone, just talk to anyone who is actually staffing an ER or an ICU, and stop listening to people who have motivated reasoning about vaccines and effectiveness. Just try it for a week or so. It won't cost you much. Talk to people who have skin in the game and ignore clickbait. Okay, it will cost you some pride, which seems too expensive these days. “There are only nine meals between mankind and anarchy”
