re Colorado Governor Shortens Trucker's Prison Term to 10 Years
Should be zero years. Brakes failed. Depends on the type of brake failure. Was the failure due to a mechanical malfunction beyond the driver's control or was it due to driver negligence/incompetence/reckless driving? Dan Rather: #LetsGoBrandonReallyMeans “You can’t handle the truth.”
Once again Rather demonstrates that he can report the news accurately without having the slightest clue why. The 110 years was just plain stupid, the law is an ass. Ditto for the 20-30 years that the prosecutors were willing to reduce it to. And I think even the ten years the governor changed it to seems excessive. If he was negligent I can see 5 years for manslaughter. It would be reasonable to hold him civilly liable. If he committed other crimes then those could be adjudicated too. The law needs to be changed; What happens to the next guy that gets in an accident.
Aguilera-Mederos was negligent in that he passed by two separate runaway-truck ramps on I-70 that would have prevented the crash.
Yikes! He lied about his experience, witnesses testified about his reckless driving prior to brake failure, panicked and made a series of mistakes (including skipping two arrester beds) that ended up in people being killed and incinerated.
He was in a semi. Not a smart car. I guess you can just be glad it wasn’t any if your family members killed. It’s still a really bad take. You have asked the question I was wondering about. When we head west through the Rockies, there are "laybys" at the tops of the passes where the truckers are told to stop and inspect their brakes. As well, on the down slopes, there are frequent run-off lanes so a truck whose brakes have failed can get off the road. A trucker should know enough to check his brakes properly before setting off down a steep road. If Mr. Aguilera-Mederos neglected to do this and so missed a brake problem, then he is guilty of wilful negligence. However, given the way everything of a criminal nature is excused these days, his sentence was too severe. Compare that with the sentence of the driver who blew a very large stop sign (with flashing red light)and drove into the path of a hockey team bus in Saskatchewan managing to kill half the team.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humboldt_Broncos_bus_crash Happy New Year to the MF team...and here's a little gem from Zimmy...one of my favorite January 1st songs.
Can't you feel that sun a-shinning? Ground hog running by the country stream This must be the day when all of my dreams come true So happy just to be alive Underneath the sky of blue On this new morning, new morning On this new morning with you. PS - I'm happy to report my dry January has come to an end...lasted almost 9 hours this year...yippee. It is odd that now stats show a much higher percentage of the vaccinated are becoming infected with covid than the unvaccinated. This seems to suggest two possibilities:
1. The vaccine simply doesn't work. 2. The vaccine actually makes you more vulnerable to infection. It seems that both of these are true now the question is was this the result of incompetence or by intent? JustMe: It is odd that now stats show a much higher percentage of the vaccinated are becoming infected with covid than the unvaccinated.
That is incorrect. "People who were unvaccinated had a greater risk of testing positive for COVID-19 and a greater risk of dying from COVID-19 than people who were fully vaccinated." https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#rates-by-vaccine-status The U.K. has much the same experience. "Overall, we find evidence of a reduction in the risk of hospitalisation for Omicron relative to Delta infections, averaging over all cases in the study period." https://www.imperial.ac.uk/mrc-global-infectious-disease-analysis/covid-19/report-50-Severity-Omicron/ That's an interesting trick. Instead of honestly addressing the issue you search the data rejecting anything that proves you wrong and dredging up a few anomalies to cite and declaring yourself right. https://ninetymilesfromtyranny.blogspot.com/2022/01/data-from-around-worldincluding.html provides sufficient data to show that indeed covid is becoming a pandemic of the vaccinated.
JustMe: Instead of honestly addressing the issue you search the data rejecting anything that proves you wrong and dredging up a few anomalies to cite and declaring yourself right.
That's funny. We cited the CDC, which addressed a wide range of data, and you cited very limited data from a single outpost in the Antarctic, which doesn't even include data on the unvaccinated. The article also includes a link to two twitter posts neither of which provide actual citations. Israeli Health Ministry (December 26, 2021): Three quarters of the serious COVID cases in Israel are among the unvaccinated. https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/covid-in-israel-omicron-drives-spike-in-serious-cases-1.10494024 "single outpost in the Antarctic,"???
Seriously? Did you miss this: "In Canada, 76.87 percent of the population is fully vaccinated, and 81.1 percent of recent cases are amongst the fully vaccinated, Dr. Ezra Kahan reported". Or this: "A Robert Koch Institute report released on Thursday found that that 95.58 percent of the Omicron cases in Germany are fully vaccinated, including 28 percent who had received a “booster.” Only 4.42 percent of the Omicron cases in Germany are unvaccinated." Or this: "In Israel, 61 percent of the cases for the week ending on Dec. 25 were boosted. Another 18 percent were fully vaccinated. Only 19 percent were unvaccinated." Or this: "With nearly all adults full vaccinated and the majority of adults boosted, Israel has seen a new seasonal wave begin with infections almost exclusively found amongst the vaccinated. This is not what was promised one year ago when vaccines were approved." "The same pattern is being seen all over: Florida, Iceland, UK, Germany, Denmark … Iceland is the most boosted nation (58%) and has the 4th highest covid case rate on Earth." "Page 2 of Omicron report from UK shows that only 26% of omicron hospitalizations in England are from unvaccinated." "JUST IN - 89.7% of people infected with #Omicron in Denmark are either "fully vaccinated" or had their first booster, per report from today. 77.9% of the population is fully vaccinated." Did you even bother to read past the headline???

Unvaccinated people account for 60 per cent of patients In Alberta hospitals. Fully vaccinated people make up 38 per cent. Solar:
I have it for electricity and hot water Wonderful to have it; dropped my utility bills precipitously. Yes, winter get less, but will be installing batteries to store electricity . Get iit. It's great. So my question is did you pay 100% of the costs yourself or did you get some of it paid by government or the utility?
Part of the cost wasn't picked up by "the Government". It was paid for by his neighbors, through Government theft of their money.
Solar and wind power are just a fantasy and will remain a fantasy until we spend a few trillion dollars on a storage system for the electricity they produce while they're producing. And if you wonder if the money spent on renewable energy in the name of carbon mitigation might not be better spent on other forms of carbon mitigation, you're catching on. Carbon mitigation is not what Green Energy is all about. Follow the money.
Jerryskids: Solar and wind power are just a fantasy
Complete replacement of all energy sources by solar and wind is not currently feasible, but they can still reduce the amount of fossil fuels required. Once the infrastructure is in place, solar and wind provide almost free energy, and the infrastructure is now quite low. Total fantasy! A solar panel can never in it's lifetime produce as much energy from the sun as was expended to create and install it. Most of them are built in China at facilities powered by coal fired electrical power generators.
Commercial PV and wind can never be practical it is all supported by government subsidies to make it even come close to looking practical. It simply can never be the source of our power in the future. It is all fake. JustMe: Total fantasy! A solar panel can never in it's lifetime produce as much energy from the sun as was expended to create and install it.
That's false. The energy payback time for solar is about 1-4 years. Bhandari et al., Energy payback time (EPBT) and energy return on energy invested (EROI) of solar photovoltaic systems: A systematic review and meta-analysis, 2015. That is laughable. A flawed study. They didn't compute energy payback they computed cost payback BUT only after a huge government subsidy. Do yourself a favor and use Excel if you know how to and find the cost of an unsubsidized PV panel (For example 100W @ $100). Determine how much in watts you can average daily in your location (typically 450 watts). Then using a reasonable cost per KW determine how long it will take to pay back ($0.06/kWh in my location). My calculation was 10.15 years.
BUT that doesn't include the cost of money (don't make me explain that to you if you don't know look it up). Or the associated costs of a PV installation and batteries controller, etc. If you are honest (and I doubt you can be) you will discover that a PV system without the subsidies and using general accounting principles can NEVER pay for itself. Simple as that!

JustMe: They didn't compute energy payback they computed cost payback
That is incorrect. They totaled all the energy inputs to determine the energy payback time. JustMe: Do yourself a favor and use Excel . . . That would be the cost payback or return on investment (ROI), not the energy payback time. JustMe: My calculation was 10.15 years. Per your own calculations, you just showed solar has a positive ROI.

The CDC now recommends...Joe Rogan and Dr. Robert Malone. A long viewing but worth every minute.
https://www.bitchute.com/video/vSQN8Ya5Pdb1/ Cliff notes version of Rogan and Malone.
https:/threadreaderapp.com/thread/1477032151493267460.html QUOTE: Dr. Malone discusses his suspension from both LinkedIn and Twitter for the crime of promoting “vaccine hesitancy.” He argues that if the risks are not discussed, informed consent is not possible. “Informed consent is not only not happening, it’s being actively blocked.” https://meaninginhistory.substack.com/p/will-the-new-year-bring-justice The lawsuits are beginning which will help bring facts to the front. More helpful will be the Republicans winning the house and beginning full fledged investigations of Pharma and the Pharma administrative state. But I am afraid that trials will not occur until a change of the presidency. Patience is required just as in the Russia hoax and the climate hoax.
Zach is a "tell". He will pounce on any issue dear to the heart of the left wing communists. And consequently is Zach says it then you know it isn't true. Zach is a left wing compass always pointing the wrong way but always pointing at the propaganda the left is touting. That is his value.
"We enter 2022 with the hope and optimism made possible only by the most clear-eyed assessment of reality. Garet Garett's remarkable words, published in 1938, are right at home in the new year. They are also liberating. There is no going back, no restoration, no "reform"—the America we thought we knew is gone. Tens of millions of Americans now believe both the US federal government and the major institutions in this country—from media to big corporations to universities to Hollywood to Big Pharma and the medical establishment—are actively working against their interests. They have no self-interest in defending a world already lost."
https://mises.org/wire/how-we-will-win I just heard a commentor on FOX talking about the Jan 6 "attack" and basically said it was Trump's fault because he told lies about the election. Not a far lefty, not a communist Democrat, just a regular commentor and he said this why? The evidence is there for all to see so I doubt he is simply unaware that the 2020 election was massively stolen. I can only guess he is afraid to not toe the party line on this because otherwise he will be ridiculed.
When did we lose the U.S.? It could be as some say in 2008. It could be Nov 3rd 2020. I think it was the day the Supreme Court turned down the state AG's in their suit against the election. That at least was the nail in the coffin. Now we are into Fascism, slow creeping fascism but fascism never the less. Don't believe it? Imagine going to see The Matrix Resurrections and having to show a vax pass, a negative covid test and wear a mask. If you do this without it really bothering you than you missed the whole point of the movie. Don't go to movies? How about flying or a cruise? How about going into any government office? In many states now if you go to the hospital/clinic with a positive covid test they have anti-virual medicine you can take to treat covid. BUT if you are white you cannot get it!! Do you get it yet?? Are you ready for the red pill? Are you ready for fascism? Do you see the connection between the coup against Trump and our new fascist leaders? Or are you the frog in the pot enjoying the warm water? JustMe: The evidence is there for all to see so I doubt he is simply unaware that the 2020 election was massively stolen.
There is no evidence the election was stolen, nor is there evidence of any widespread fraud. Multiple courts have examined the purported evidence and rejected those claims. Just some of the funnier evidence of the stolen election:
In Arizona 22,039 mail in ballots were received the day before they were mailed. Georgia received 950 military ballots were received in sequential order which would be impossible since they should have each been mailed seperately and all 950 were for Biden. Between 2-4 AM in Pennsylvania they found 1,000,000 ballots for Biden with no other vote marked. JustMe: st some of the funnier evidence of the stolen election:
Those are called allegations, not evidence. You didn't provide any links or verifiable facts. The only one that appears in a cursory search concerns the Georgia ballots. The overseas ballots (not just military ballots) aren't numbered, so they can't be "sequential." The allegation comes from the first hand recount, wherein workers separated ballots for each candidate into batches for counting. Consequently, some batches were 100% for Biden, and some batches were 100% for Trump. That just shows whoever made the allegation doesn't know how the process works—or doesn't care to know. https://www.gannett-cdn.com/presto/2020/11/19/USAT/8b892056-a6d5-419a-bfa1-55a7cb057c0c-AP_Election_2020_Recount_Georgia.jpg We'll be happy to address your other concerns if you provide some evidence to support the allegations. Speaking of allegations: over 2000 people, not activists or right wing people, came forward to give testimony under oath of voter fraud that they witnessed and left wing judges chose to ignore. It is clear that the left wing judges and legislators have done everything they could to "cover up" the truth. Each of the states that experienced extensive voter fraud should have appointed a special prosecutor to investigate it. Every state should require voter ID and vote in person ID in hand. Every state should require paper ballots because most of the cheating was done using the voting machines.
Imagine a country where you don't require ID to prove you have a right to vote but require and ID for almost everything else you do in life. And now they are requiring proof of vaccination to get a job. If you haven't figured out yet that your government has been taken over after the Nov 3rd 2020 insurrection than you will simply have to accept your new slave masters. So, ignoring the weakness of your previous claims, you shift to this:
JustMe: Speaking of allegations: over 2000 people, not activists or right wing people, came forward to give testimony under oath of voter fraud that they witnessed and left wing judges chose to ignore. What people? What specific knowledge do they have? Start with your strongest case. JustMe: left wing judges chose to ignore
A federal judge in Michigan did examine many of the affidavits and found some of the claims to be "fantastical" and others to be easily deemed untrue. The judge wanted to know why he shouldn't sanction the lawyers for submitting unverified allegations. https://news.bloomberglaw.com/us-law-week/election-fraud-conspiracy-questioned-in-powells-michigan-suit Mail-in ballot fraud happens more often than most people think https://legalinsurrection.com/2020/09/democrat-operative-details-his-involvement-in-mail-in-ballot-fraud-schemes-going-back-decades/
caught on a secret video slamming Mayor Bill de Blasio’s municipal ID program as contributing to “all kinds of fraud” — including at the polls. https://legalinsurrection.com/2016/10/nyc-democrat-election-official-de-blasios-id-program-contributing-to-fraud/ So, ignoring the weakness of your previous claims, you shift to this:
JustMe: municipal ID program NYC's ID program requires a photo ID and proof of date of birth. JustMe: Mail-in ballot fraud happens more often than most people think From your article, "There is nothing new about these techniques." That's why education is important. Mail your ballot directly, or only give it to someone who you know and trust. Good riddance to NYC’s worst mayor ever – Bill de Blasio
My NYC artist cousin got all huffy when, after she brought up Mayor Bill, I expressed a negative opinion of him. She informed me that she found it "strange" that someone not living in NYC had formed an opinion of Mayor Bill. After all, she said, she knew nothing about the mayor of the city where I resided. Ironically, some months later she decided that she didn't like Mayor Bill. |
