Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Once upon a time when I looked a college majors, I saw psych majors were no better adjusted than anybody else, society is no better for 10,000's of soc majors, women are no happier for being studies.
I opted for geology which, despite its driftiness and fault finding, is a rock solid major.

Geology major here. Had a 50 year career travelling the world and looking at rocks. And it was a hoot. Every rock tells a story...sometimes you have to hammer it out of them but once in a while you can get by with a lick. Retired now but I still look at rocks everywhere I go.

The Democrats and Parkland parents are all upset and shaming him. They somehow fail to understand that it wasn't a "gun" that shot up the school it was a person.

I assume that Democrats and parkland parents still drive cars just days after Darrell Brooks killed 6 people with his car. But I don't expect them to understand the irony and stupidity.
