Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

A diversion, in Scotland

Mrs. BD highly recommends the series Outlander.


I think she fell in love with Jamie, but she tells me most women do. It's quite a tale, but I am not one for TV series.

My wife totally loved this series. I don't watch tv. She loved the lead actor and his kilt

We watched it to about season 5. I lost interest there. Just felt like it jumped the shark after they moved it to America.

For those that haven't seen the series, it is not family friendly.

My wife and I started watching together and really enjoyed it. I don't recall exactly when, but like feeblemind I eventually lost interest, my wife did not.

1st season of Outlander is the best, 2nd season is solid, 3rd season is okay, haven't seen the 4th and 5th.

I bought season 1 for my mom and she liked it except for the ending in the prison basement (if you know, you know).

Definitely not suitable for kids. Poldark, on the other hand, absolutely is. And [url] Ross Poldark (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3636060/) [/url] is every bit as swoonworthy as Jamie Fraser
