Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. THE DUMBING DOWN OF AMERICA: LAWYER EDITION The battlespace preparation has been going on for years on television. Almost all the judges you see on cop shows or dramas are black or female or (usually) both. In real life, the black female judges are the worst activists. Take District Judge Loretta Biggs for example. She struck down the North Carolina Voter ID law at the last minute because it was r-r-a-a-a-s-s-s-i-i-i-s. Her ruling was overturned, but not until after the election. The woman should be impeached, but with the dems in charge in the House, that will never happen. We don't need more judges like her.

The legal profession is a ruthless meritocracy, the criteria for long term success: can you bring in the clients (the rainmaker) or can you outwork the opposition. Graduating from a good school will get you more interviews with better firms, but if you can't do the work you won't last a year. And nobody learns how to be a good lawyer in law school or by passing the bar, which anyone, even anyone here, could do with a little coaching.

All I can say to this news is "Good". I hope that all the high school coaches get fired. What a bunch of empty-headed morons. They don't mentor the boys under their direction, they just use them. And the black kids who are flunking every class get to stay in school and be jerks, just because they can run. All High School sports programs should be cancelled. Those boys get railroaded into thinking that sports are a substitute for learning. While I was in college, I met football players who couldn't even read.

Young men need a tremendous amount of education if they're going to succeed in life. School athletics are very anti-intellectual, and steer boys in the wrong direction. Basketball and Football displace Hemmingway and Beethoven. But the black kids don't want an education anyway, they just want to have a good time. And the teachers don't want to flunk them, because that would cost the school money. So the charade continues. If we're going to save the next generation of America's young men, the only option is to close the horrible public schools. We're actually paying those teachers to do evil.
Those boys need real coaches.

The main point of the story which you seem to have missed completely is that the coach took a stand for his athletes and against the stupidity of the adminstration, and demanded they fire him, essentially.

That’s what leadership looks like. We need more people like that, people in leadership roles who draw a line in the sand and say “no more”.

A good friend of mine in grade school told me he was going to be a doctor. Hell in grade school all I wanted to be was older and first to the table to eat. All through Junior high and high school he and I played athletics and honestly he was better than me. He went to medical school and became a doctor. Sports and academics are not mutually exclusive.
