We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Mrs. BD and I signed up for a local co-ed Pickleball league. Seems like a fast game. They said you didn't have to have any experience with it. We don't.
There's a bunch of old folks around here who play that.

On Easter our son and family came over for Easter lunch. They brought a movable pickle ball set and played on the driveway. I watched but the others played and seemed to get some exercise. Everybody had fun. The only places I have seen the game is at country clubs.
Mrs. Bulldog and I have been playing for 2 months now. We play tennis in the summer - but there is no overlap of general skill sets that I've been able to determine.
While it is primarily an "old folks" game, I noticed many younger men playing at the courts.
