The problem is now that it doesn’t matter who we vote for. They don’t change if the party rosette in No 10 changes. Even if one gets the sack for something particularly egregious we get an identikit replacement. Even if we all voted for a ‘far right’ party (as any vaguely sane party would undoubtedly be painted by the usual suspects ad nauseam) and they gained power there is nothing they could do. They would be constrained on all sides by lawfare, the total opposition of all those tasked with implementing their new policies and the media of course. Think Donald Trump’s 4 years in ‘power’ on steroids. So, you agree with Ponnuru who is a Bloomberg Opinion columnist, a senior editor at National Review, a visiting fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and contributor to CBS News.

NeverTrumpers were always Democrats in hiding, and New Republic died when they published that article. Trump never got anywhere by being graceful and speaking the way you and all the other gentlemanly conservatives want him to speak. Why would he start now?
History will judge him regardless of how he behaves at the end of his term. History's written by those who 'win' - so the election will be judged by history as totally and wonderfully honest and Trump would be a meanie because he was a bad man.
FFS. Love the gaslight much? So far all five comments negative, but you are entirely correct. Senator Tom Cotton - that horrible liberal, anti-Trump Tom Cotton - expressed it well. So did Ann Coulter, another noted radical leftist. And many other conservatives, frankly.
The evidence that the election was any more crooked than the usual Democrat urban machine nonsense, designed to rig their local elections in favor of one Democrat over another and pressed into service every four years to hopeful move a state 1-2% toward Democrats in general, is piss-poor. It is rumors, and when people are pressed into getting out of their bubble and prove it the claims suddenly prove elusive. "But what about the Martians that landed in Wisconsin? What about the ferrets who were allowed to vote in Georgia? No one has explained that to my satisfaction yet." If Trump ever had a case on any of these things he threw them away by not being prepared. There actually are explanations, by conservatives, of the supposed irregularities. There just are, but people don't care and Maggie's has become insane. I'm not asking you to believe the Washington Post or CNN or the New Yorker. Read other conservatives who disagree with you. Trump keeps losing court case after court case on this, including in front of judges who he appointed. There was a fascinating article in Slate Star Codex in 2014 (the spam filter kicks out links but you can find it by searching under toxoplasma) about supporters going deeper into the foxhole and sticking with you even when you are flat wrong in order to demonstrate that they are True Believers and the others all frauds, and I have written about "foxhole friends" myself. Anyone can stick by you when you are right. The Real Conservatives will stick with Trump even when he is wrong, because...something...I forget what. I also thought at least a few of these accusations would prove out, maybe even flip a close state back to Trump, but that has not happened. And it is not because it's all a conspiracy or a refusal of Americans to admit that they now live under some tyrannical regime (let my Romanian children tell you about real tyrannical regimes) but because the evidence wasn't that good. Sorry that reality doesn't fit your myth. Again you talk a lot even when when what you say is not true.
There is ample evidence that the cheating was significant, and widespread. It is not "piss poor." Your willful ignorance doesn't mean the evidence doesn't exist. It is not time to concede. It is already a dangerous world. Concession will make that far worse. Just so you know, I don't care what Ann Coulter, Tom Cotton, or anybody else says. You should want to know that the chain of custody of the ballots was consistent and transparent, that there were observers from all parties watching the processing and count of all ballots, that there was no outside interference, that the entire process from start to finish, including any challenges, were handled openly and transparently in front of representatives of all parties. But you're not. You're happy to eat whatever sandwich is handed to you. You don't even lift the bread to see what you're eating. Enjoy your meal. I think you'll find that it is loaded with calories and little nutrition. When a man lives free his entire life, and see’s incremental strangleholds put on his liberties throughout his life, most in the name of safety, you don’t require genius level IQ to see what is going on. You have to be willfully blind. I’ve also watched National Review conservatives, not conserve a thing. I personally hold them responsible for John Roberts. I’ve watched for years as conservatives, such as Tom Cotton, play lip service to conservative principals while campaigning, and quickly cede everything to the democrats. This^ There is not just evidence, but overt actions taken by election boards in multiple states that have defied state laws and constitutions. There are many judges who have failed to do their duty by refusing to even listen to arguments, before and after the election. Further, all actions taken by the president have been legal and civil, and backed by historical precedents. Further still, there were over 60 legal cases filed by Biden and his allies prior to the election concerning the election process. Why are his justified, but Trump's are not?
Ann Coulter is a book hustler and professional troll. I don't see why you would appeal to her opinions. Mark Levin is one of the most significant conservative thinkers in our history and an equal to the framers in terms of intellect and historical knowledge. He's laid out the arguments multiple times and can explain much better than I, so I recommend listening to him if you want a professional opinion. Regardless of who is elected, it's important to follow through with investigations of fraud and manipulation of the election process. There is no doubt that injustices were committed. AVI, Which court truly heard the case or were exposed to the evidence. None that I can recall. I only remember dismissals due to lack of standing, timing, etc.

It predates the current madness. It demonstrates that we have put poorly protected tools and devices in the hands of loosely moral and not terribly upright people. I want to 'trust' the system and I want to believe most of the commentators to this post have just bought a tinfoil hat franchise. But I'm afraid I can't convince myself. I find myself slipping into the quick sand of statistical impossibility. And now I watch this thing going on in Georgia where, if you added up the reddish heus of the November ballot, you CANNOT get the blue outcome you are watching unfold tonight. The game is afoot and denial ain't a river in Egypt. AVI: You don't appear to understand that one of the purposes of the law suits was to compel discovery of the evidence; evidence that is in the hands of the election officials; evidence that is normally available.
The last I looked there were dozens of election challenging lawsuits; Team Trump was responsible for only a small subset of them. Lin Wood went rogue but it was his fantastical crankpot rants and claims that went viral and were conflated with the sober and serious challenges. Destroy the system or preserve and work it through next time?
It's a terrible dilemma. Methinks Trump has sided with Solomon on this one. And, as distasteful as this is to my "conservative" instincts, I think we are also frightfully close to losing the republic. Perhaps hanging the sword will bring forth the truth? Perhaps it won't. But I think we need to find the truth, either way. If we "conserve" then we have to commit to standing up to fight a million little battles, from stopping race reeducation to ending the COVID rubbish, from kneecapping the Silicon Giants to dismantling the education establishment, from hobbling the Greeniacs to restoring federalism. It is many years of misery and struggle ahead. If we let the sword fall, then we have to bring shovels to rebuild and helping hands to heal. The Left, no matter how beaten or wounded, never goes quietly. So this too will be a very long struggle. All this to say, gird for battle come what may! There won't be a "next time". If Biden "wins" and is then ousted by Commie Harris, then the US of A will be toast, and it will take a new "hot" civil war to resolve the issue.
This is the hill we have to hold - because there aren't any other hills behind us. We win here or we die here. Here's an analogy that I think is useful. If you are CEO or CFO of a publicly-traded company, you are required under Sarbanes-Oxley to personally certify the company's financial reports.
If you were running a large, complex, and geographically-diverse company, and the financials had been prepared and consolidated in a manner similar to the way this election was conducted...would you sign those results? Or would you accept the shareholder and SEC embarrassment of delaying the report to ensure its accuracy? Let's throw in the towel on the 2024 election right now and beat the rush.
Contesting a fraudulent election is so uncivilized. We know battle ground states, (battle ground cities actually), did not follow their own election rules. Most egregiously not allowing republican poll watchers to observe. As a result it should be incumbent on these cities to be transparent and prove that their elections were fair and free. If they can't, then their results should be thrown out.

Never mind that the opposition threw a tantrum after the last three Republican victories; so, they have no standing in this as the courts are wont to say when they duck thorny issues. The fact is that the election was, to put it euphemistically, questionable. Tens of millions of Americans deserve that some attention be paid to that. Whether it is over turned, which I believe it should be, the egregious manner in which lawful procedures were violated, and the multiple allegations of irregularities in vote tallying, should at least be publicly and officially examined by a responsible party (or failing that, the Congress). I truly believe that many Americans do not understand what has happened and what the consequences are. The election was stolen!! Not just a little like the Democrats try to steal every election but massively as at least 5 million more Trump votes than Biden votes had to be reversed or negated. No Republic can survive this. We will not survive this.
But it gets worse. This time (maybe not the first time) the Chinese colluded, influenced and aided the steal. This is by every international standard an act of war. China has declared war and has taken the first step to take over our government. Consequences: There are literally millions of people who recognize what happened and will not accept it. If it is war they want than it is war they will get. In war there are casualties and the first to go should be those in the states and in congress whop have engineered this coup/steal. Not in some grand suicide uprising where each side shoots at the other and the side with the greater resources wins. No! That is what the civil war was and it was a mistake. But rather a individual and anonymous interaction between a patriot and state and local authorities identified as participating in and enabling the steal and to include judges and elected officials at all levels who either participated in it or benefited from it. THAT is, in my opinion, what the consequences of this terrible criminal conspiracy will be. I would not want to be one of the named or filmed vote counters who stole the vote from the American people or one of the mayors and governors who allowed it. Will these dire consequences come to pass? I do not know and it may be unknowable. It will be triggered I think, as most revolutions and wars are, by some event that people can rally around. My gut tells me that the Democrats are over confident and will commit an egregious act and the response will inevitable. What act? Again I don't know but watch what Mayor Bowser does, watch what the Democrat 'brown shirts' (Antifa and BLM) do. The stupid runs deep in the Democrat party and I think they will trigger a silent majority into bringing hell down on their heads. On the other hand I could be wrong and we will all learn to speak Chinese and accept our fate at the mass firing squads... Just let the Democrats cheat and wave the white flag. Every single court case was dismissed without moving to discovery, where the evidence would have been made available under penalty of law, and scrutinized under a microscope. Just as in any other Discovery phase of a lawsuit. And it wasn't the evidence, by the way, that many of these court cases were dismissed. They were dismissed using the argument that the President, who is presenting evidence of unfollowed procedures, 'has no standing'. If the President has 'no standing' in an election contest, I would like to know who does actually have standing. Wouldn't you? The media apparently doesn't want to know. I'm tired of seeing conservatives that conserve nothing. I'm not putting up with sellouts. After four years of seeing every conceivable force being brought to bear in an unprecedented way against a duly-elected President, I am still puzzled at the vehemence of the hate directed at Trump. It's much greater than any offense his abrasive personality may have created. And I am disgusted by so many citizens failing to even note this, even without a driven curiosity. All I know is: I want to see much more of this vehemence until it's finally clear to all what the President is fighting against. My gut tells me that his is the right side to be on if we are interested in continuing as a nation with God-granted freedoms. Nonsense. I imagine Gov DeSantis and the Fl voting process should be examined to learn why and how President Trump did so well there.

Barring Pence exercising successfully a prerogative of his office, Trump will join the rest of us in observing/experiencing a Biden administration. Contesting the validity of the 2020 election does not necessarily end this week. Should supporting evidence gain significant traction, it would constitute a reverberant reason to consider DJT in 2024. Even more so if Biden and his people bungle their opportunity.

It's too early to be sure it's true. respectfully, our side does not have to prove the fraud, and fraud can be shown by preponderance of evidence of it. But I am interested to know if you have qualifications of a nature that supports your assessment Getting back to my orig point above - our election process is required to be legitimate, and Chain-of-Custody is the best way to ensure that votes are legitimate, thus going a long way to ensuring as honest an election as possible. More importantly, C-o-C is the best way to show We the People that everything is largely above board. Without that confidence in the process, we have no Trust in the process. No Trust = No Government... which means No Constitutional Republic. Yet the narrative, the overton window of expectations here, paint the opposite picture: that Trump must prove the fraud... and then that same narrative strongly plants/implies in the public consciousness that this must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. That last standard doesn't apply here, it's preponderance of evidence - but the perception is on the harsher reasonable doubt (such as for a murder trial). Score that as a victory for the leftist/commie/dem control of media, culture, etc. Not only does Trump have to "prove" this fraud, but he must do so before time runs out - as it almost certainly has. And here's a thought for you, AVI, these past 2 months have been one of the left either dismissing the charges of fraud as baseless, of censoring our voices, of delaying any procedural move as much as possible. In short, the side that stands to gain from the fraud's success, is fighting the side that has valid and preponderance-of-evidence supported claims of the Fraud! But read it, you'll see his thoughts on the sorts of red flags in his field that would lead to certain conviction of the criminals... and consider his opinion on how many more red flags (... and how much more severe they were by comparison...) there were in this election. Imagine buying a co-op in a 50 unit complex. As part of the purchase, owners agree to abide by the maintenance, safety and security rules laid out by the HOA. However several of the owners fail to do so; they don't lock their doors or repair broken windows. Their units become water damaged and fill up with litter, debris, vermin, and threatening vagrants. These units tank the value of the entire complex and subject the other owners to hazardous(fire), unsanitary, dangerous and unsightly conditions. The responsible other owners go to the HOA and ask them to enforce the rules, the analog would be the "Elector's clause", and the HOA denies the request, denies that the other owners have standing, denies a fair hearing, denies them any remedy. I’m sure you would be the one telling your Jewish neighbors to just shut up, stop fighting, and gracefully exit into the trucks and trains. Coward. If you think appeasement in the face of evil is the answer, you are truly lost. Those who do not stand up to evil, deserve to be consumed by it. The rest of us, who love freedom, will not rescue you when you cry out for help.

The 2020 presidential election is unlike any before and requires unprecedented measures to protect it, our republic, and our future. The degree and scale of voter fraud was unprecedented. In swing states, President Donald Trump had large leads on election night. Then, late at night counting was stopped, while election observers were ushered out. And then, huge, statistically impossible vote dumps occurred, giving Joe Biden the lead. This pattern, which occurred only in the states where Biden had to reverse the results, and hadn’t occurred in previous elections, points to a coordinated effort to steal the election. This effort likely involved manipulation of the vote by Dominion Voting Systems. According to a forensic audit of its machines and software in Michigan, ”the Dominion Voting System is intentionally and purposefully designed with inherent errors to create systemic fraud and influence election results.” The courts - dismissed all of these lawsuits - they did not investigate the allegations - they just dismissed them
The courts - state and Supremes have caused much of the frustration of the overlords telling the peasants to shut up. You and your lawsuits are unworthy of our time. There is a ton of evidence of fraud - but if you turn a blind eye to it .. pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. |
