Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

I agree with Scott

I agree with Scott Adams that Joe Biden is one horrible person. Calling me a racist and a Nazi is not forgiveable. I know about "just politics", but that is not. 


I have crticized most of his proposed policies, and wondered about his physical and mental fitness, but never called him hateful names.  Now, I am. Horrible. Nobody treats me like that.  I only care about what is best for all of us Americans as I can best figure it out.

Name-calling is the central persuasive tactic. Liberalism is founded on social rather than intellectual skill, identifying who the people are that "get it" and telling them what this year's colors are. This is why social enforcement is so necessary. They may or may not be capable of an intellectual argument, but it is irrelevant to their strategy.

It's voting for Homecoming King and Queen.

I don't remember TNJ saying that. I remember him saying that he thought the election was a done deal, that the levels of fraud appeared normal, and everyone jumped on him as a heretic. We live in times where the criteria of passion are trending absolute.

Per an imperfect memory. A high school friend class of 75, on Facebook, tried to console me by mentioning, at least Biden is Catholic. She was (perhaps unfairly) shocked when I mentioned how Biden's stances made him a terrible Catholic exemplar. She replied...I don't recall you ever being so judgmental. I likely said, God's the judge...I'm just pointing out the obvious.

For years now the Democrats have called conservatives, people on the right, Republican, or not-Democrat nasty names. We are "deplorables", "racists", "chumps", "Nazis", what have you, so with this questionable election, I'm done with it. From now on, Joe Biden, and Democrats in general, get not one ounce of respect from me. Ridicule and insults, just returning what they've dished out since Slick Willie was in office.
