We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I watched Ted Williams play in Fenway Park a number of times. My dad was a big fan and since he owned the business he took days off and took his kids to the ball game. Williams filled the stands. When he was at bat the vendors stopped hawking their beer and peanuts, there was no line for the rest rooms - it was magic.
I wager that Ted's being a Marine pilot and rock-ribbed Republican didn't hurt his being included in the ad.
The first Fenway Park game I saw was the 1961 All Star Game, so I never saw Ted play. To my later regret.
I don't know about anyone else, but I got a little choked up by the end. It's good to hear words of praise for our country, our people, our history, and one who is proud to say them is President Trump.
Listening to MSM, which I do not, but know many do is a demoralizing, soul crushing experience.
